This faggot got bootyblasted that Panasonic didnโ€™t fly him out to wine and dine for that stupid crippled camera they released a while back. Then he went on some hypocritical โ€œreviewers should not accept manufacturer perksโ€ crusade that no one took seriously. And thatโ€™s after Sony dropping him as a shill which he was for years. Mans had what the kids call โ€œa crash outโ€. Funny shit.

And it doesnโ€™t need confirming anyway itโ€™s well known, only pajeets and children believe these chuds are all somehow objective

The niche? Pixel peeping video. Seriously. If their contract with leica is ever up they're going to go out of business.

They make the only mirrorless cameras with autofocus that can be fairly described as unusable. As in, $2k-$4k price bracket, <30% hit rate.

And the best part? S1RII's pixel shift is broken. No wonder our resident panasonic shill want us to forget about the S1RII. It's the most disastrous camera release in the past decade.

I simply don't care about high res mirrorless cameras, the point of mirrorless cameras is video. For stills, there's DSLRs. The joy of reflex as cANON would put it.

Every single panasonic release comes with their shills titling every video "better than canon and sony" but it has yet to happen outside of their shills videos

Props to tony northrup for having the balls to be the only initial s1rii review to call out the autofocus tracking working but not the actual focusing part and throw in some cheeky takes like showing normal shaky handheld footage and calling it "gimbal like" (that is the ACTUAL lumix IBIS performance, their shill vids are made by shaking the competing cameras and trying really hard to hold the lumix steady if not using a gimbal. how do i know? i saw one being made.)

Their older, smaller grips (also see: the first a7c) were unironically way better. It was like the minimal grips on film cameras where your right hand felt no expectation of actually supporting the camera and just stabilized and controlled it.

When they made the grips bigger, their ergonomics stopped making sense, and they lost sight of what made mirrorless desirable in the first place. I don't think sony was ever meant to try to make the best cameras. They should have been like a full frame fujifilm and made cameras that accepted the compromise of pursuing smaller designs that look like modernized film cameras.

Leave making the most technically perfect cameras to nikon and making the sports photographer/videographer cameras to canon.

You only need to use the actual text hierarchy menu on the nikon because it has so many features

the a7c has no features and no reason to use the menu, unless you are a videotard. it just has 3 dials on the back and minimal buttons so you can get to the focus modes and ISO stuff. it's peak sony. just a digital camera. only use zeiss lenses for max sonyness. meanwhile nikon baked in a super resolution scanner, time lapse movies and focus bracketing.

>>4450982
the grip makes it a z8 sized faux-retro camera.
the controls just aren't well designed or well positioned. nikon doesn't even have aperture rings, so the camera makes zero sense overall.

>shills between youtube and forum comments
I wonder how large this industry is.. that is the shilling on the interweb forums and comment sections. It is rather insane the things I've witnessed and the types of shills I encounter. During the covid scam they probably paid hundreds of thousands. In another industry that receives massive grants I have found networks of fake users with a long history of "uploading videos" which usually just consists of "gaming footage" with no identifying behavior such as the use of voice etc, always VERY generic non-identifiable and it is clearly not because some 16 year old super mario fan is using his OPSEC knowledge. Channels with fake subscribers, friends and what have you in this network made to seem like they are friends sharing interests all made to give the impression that some subject has more followers than in reality.. and now with AI I am sure they will be able to run these old networks more efficiently to seed discussions to give a favorable impression of whatever product or political bullshit they are trying to sell.

You don't need second hand sources, you're better off studying primary sources. Better that than primary sources that have been incorrectly interpreted by a retarded pedo professor and regurgitated into the mouth of some main-character delusion based boy, who then gets ChatGPT to optimise said incorrect knowledge into a script designed to peak newgen engagement numbers.

It probably has dial, IBIS and motherboard failures galore if it's actually used for more than a year (unlikely, no one uses a panasonic for more than a year) and the autofocus still doesnt achieve acceptable sharpness for resolutions over 1080p, but panasonic has the tracking nailed down and just makes the box green 90% of the time whether or not it is in focus so the reviews demoing the tracking still look good.

Panasonic isn't a competitor to sony at all. That's like saying timex competes directly with tag heuer.

Panasonic shills SAY it competes with, and beats sony, and then start rattling off video codecs, but the market share numbers are telling even when not broken down by camera type. If they were, I suspect the tiny amount of market share panasonic has would be dominated by small sensor compacts.
