Why do you want to major in photo?
What is the end goal for your photography?
You're almost always better off with a traditional major and just leveraging that to support your photography.

Your professors are your most important contacts. See how many of them are working in the industry and how many student of that department are working in the industry. Which ever department has most working creatives, join it.
