what are some good sites to buy cameras and camera equipment from? ideally used gear

i recently tried MPB because i heard good things about them but it turns out they're scammers

ebay, craigslist/local classifieds (if you know how to win)
mpb has been good for me. i bought an xpro3 and a 100s from them, both used. didn't like the condition of the xpro3 and after some phone tag, got it returned and refunded.
haven't used keh yet but i'm planning to send in my bessa r2 for repair soon. i've had friends order film dev stuff off b&h with no issues.

i bought a used camera from them and there was a lot of hot pixels, so i tried to initiate a refund which they complied with but then when they got it suddenly they said that they're sending it back to me because they fixed it (claimed there was a hair in the sensor) which i didn't agree to
so when i got it back (3 weeks later) i immediately tested it and found that it still had the exact same problem
i tried returning it again but they said it's past the refund window and they'd only allow me to exchange it for another one, and flat out told me that they don't test the cameras before they sell them and tried to suggest i buy another camera for 3x the price

but aside from that, if you have the time, it's much better to sell your gear on ebay because you'll get a lot more money

i've also heard people say that mpb will inspect stuff you send them and offer a lower amount than originally agreed upon due to something like a scratch you didn't mention, and since they already have it you can't really say no (i assume you pay for the shipping back if you have the option to decline, and in my experience it'll still take weeks to ship)

They have been one of the few places to actually honor warranties and actually ship legitimate items. The only other trustworthy place is map camera.

I also received a defective product from MPB and it was 2 weeks of hell to get my money back

UsedPhotoPro, on ebay. They're part of Robert's Photo. They're out of Indianapolis and they have a brick and mortar store that's fucking awesome.

They do so much ebay they have bins of stuff in their brick and mortar that don't go on ebay, they have batteries, straps, filters, all the little shit you need for the camera but not the camera or lens itself, although now they have a 20 dollar body section and a 15 dollar lens section. I scored three batteries for my D4 for like 20 bucks a piece.

Their ebay store is a regular used camera store, and they have good shit cheap. If you find yourself near Indy though, you owe it to yourself to visit. Their brick and mortar has a 14 day return policy, no questions asked.

Almost forgot, you can buy on ebay and pick up in their brick and mortar store in Indy, I've bought stuff on ebay from within their store and had them bring it out lol. Bought my Beseler Topcon Super D that way.
