I have a bunch of lenses, but this isn't even something I need to think about.
Yes, it's a bit dark, but as long as there is any daylight at all, it can do anything.

EF 70-200 f/4 IS USM, but if I did get rid of everything else I'd cheat and grab a 1.4x teleconverter as well.
It's a bitch though because I like doing a broad range of photography that necessitates other lenses.
But, with the money I made back from selling my other lenses I'd be able to grab a really good star tracker and do some medium telephoto space stuff.

Gotta be either my EF 100-400 IS II or my RF 24-70 2.8.

Probably the 24-70. That on the R6 II can realistically do a ton.

this is a common fantasy and activity among hobby photographers in particular and they always get emotional over it. people dream of this and answer enthusiastically bur aren’t ready to do it… because the void is fake-full with sticks and lint called gear.

i think people who shoot just for fun gearfag because they are depressed and trying to inject motivation and inspiration where their shitty life cant (photography is inexorably tied to travel) so eventually the gear disgusts them because it reminds them of when they were frustrated and depressed and trying to fill the void with their ample disposable income, likely income that came from the very reason their life was so static, depressing, and meaningless

for me i simply have no reason to choose one lens. i like everything i have and bought it all to do stuff with. i simply shant be choosing just one. i will use my 40 and 85 forever. sorry!

I fucking adore it, anon, it continually makes me pick it up and use it even for things it's not well suited for but it's fucking hypnotic. And it's like two different lenses, between how it looks wide open vs how it looks even just stopped down to f/2.8 or f/4.
