Wetplates have comparable grain size to microfilms. They're amazing to look at in person.

The fact that they're only really sensitive to UV makes studio work a major pain in the ass. You can get by with very powerful flashes. 4800ws was okay, but stronger would have been better.

Just so you know, aside from a darkroom being light tight it should have good ventilation as a main priority regardless of what chemistry you're using in there.
