GoPro just came out with yet another expanded camera lineup. They just can’t figure it out. Gangly clunky design, big wide bodies, lens always off to one side so in-water usage wobbles, no good way to mount it safely to a helmet so it doesn’t break your neck when you crash, of but you know what everyone will want, a Session 6 finally after a decade of waiting since the Session 5? NOPE, another dumb 360deg fisheye camera, but this time in 8k for when you really gotta have even bigger distorted nauseating footage. Plus another clunky blogging camera. Yay! It’s like camera companies bitch about the camera market sucking balls but then flood it with unattractive products and go back to wringing hands & moaning. First company to beat the 2015 Session 5 wins. FFS DJI & even Polaroid had a start at it, but then shit the bed.

Comparing these new monstrosities to what they were capable of a decade ago. Great, the sensors are higher res & the chips are faster, but look at well designed this fucking thing was. One button. …minimalist display. Whole shittin thing fits anywhere you want to stick it. Perfect.

Comes as no surprise the latest GoPro is trash Hero2 was the last GoPro worth paying money for.

Hero 3 then 5 were good cameras, Hero 2 was just the kick on everyone's faces since nobody made something like it ever before. After that GoPro got lazy and the chinks started to pop up, SJCAM doing a decent damage on their sales for at least a decade until the other big two showed up.
