He's really good and consistent. Captured a lot of amazing scenes over the years. Of course this thread will be full of seething incels saying he sucks for the only reason because he's currently popular.

>The most densely populated city(Kowloon Walled City) on Earth had only one postman. His round was confined to an area barely a hundredth of a square mile in size. Yet within that space was a staggering number of addresses: 350 buildings, almost all between 10 and 14 stories high, occupied by 8,500 premises, 10,700 households, and more than 33,000 residents.

Here's my guess, he just didn't deliver any post.

He did deliver. There's a whole section in the City of Darkness book about him gaining trust from the city thugs, and developing a route to cover all the buildings.

Is this the guy with all the fake Instagram followers?
Nothing says success like when I click on there followers and they all have like 0-3 posts each.

I love his work. Gone of his books, would like all of them

I've seen it. I'm surprised there isn't a popular manga based off him. Seems like prime material.

Have loved his work for a long time (vancouverfag reporting). The guy is fucking retarded when it comes to his books though. He ruins half the shots by double page spreading and putting important compositional elements right in the gutter. Id totally buy more of his books if it wasn't for this.

This. If you check his posts with his "huge" follower base he has almost no comments every time. But always 1000+ likes, which are from bots. Real engagement at his follower size and for those likes would be at least 20+ genuine comments. He is a botter.

Bump. Why is everyone so salty? He's a legend.

Ironically this little exchange proves cineape's thesis that nobody gives a shit about stills and that cinema is the real endgame.

Girard's work is amazing and really made me think that it's not my fault for wandering around my ugly, sparse, small corner of New England and not producing any work. He pointed his camera at scenes of absolutely stunning visual intrigue. I need to travel to find something worth photographing to get the same ambience, unfortunately.

In a more practical sense, looking at his work was what finally made me start trying to set myself up for success when photographing, ie only going out when the light is perfect. I used to just walk around sidewalks on overcast afternoons and wonder why my photos were all boring.

Nigga you have whole gothic legacy of Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft. Go make some shit

Two trannies(before transitioning) made a book in New England, Sleep Creek, it's decent.
