I was kinda surprised to see that he isn't even using any form of stabilization.

Kevlar, Canon RP, EF to RF adapter and a 50mm F1.2 EF lens. That is pretty much it.

The expensive as fuck rf 50mm f1.2 is so soft at f1.2 its not that different from just bumping up the ISO for an f1.8 unless you insist on being beholden to the camera jpeg engines shitty noise reduction. Literally just opening a raw in capture one and clicking export with 0 changes is better than older cameras jpegs.

Watched the video. Basically it's street, but you're more likely to get shot, shelled and kidnapped. Also your camera suffers more wear.
Shooting nothing but manual seems like a flex. Cool that he's shooting in war zones so that I have pictures to go with my morning news, but I think most YouTube reviewers give better gear advice than this guy. It's clearly not his forte.

Q.E.D.: the whole hiding the SD card is a 2010s thing. Most of the places this guy is at have mobile service. A modern body can push photos straight to the cloud via a mobile hotspot as you shoot making this a non-issue.

I was in Afghanistan and we had these big Kodak digital back modded blads, a few F3s and a shitload of Nikonos V’s. The Nikonos’s were basically a point & shoot, but 1, that was what we needed instead of dicking around with settings all day like the F3s, and 2, holy hellin damnin ass if those Nik V’s weren’t as close to indestructible as Jesus and his 3 hot sisters ever came.
