Yeah but since it assumes you're an extra retard, it displays a slider with all the values as you change them which disables some other display elements such as the histogram for a few seconds. I know how to read indicators showing number go up/number go down at the bottom of the screen but no, we need to animate this bullshit, it's very important.
So if I want to quickly change ISO I have to tap, scroll to the right value and tap again real quick. I think the assumption here is that if you shoot manual you're going to enable auto ISO and just manually change aperture and shutter speed. Or that you're going to be using one of both dials to change exposure compensation in case you use a priority mode. On an older DLSR cheap Canon camera I used to be able to hold a button and turn a dial to alternate between functions. Not here. That only is available for auto exposure and auto focus.
To me it seems more complex to have less dials available as you have to go into menus a lot more for stupid shit. What's more, most options you can bind buttons to aren't toggles. They're just menus, so you can't just bind a function to a button, you have to bind a menu to choose which function you want in 80% of cases. -And- for the functions that don't open a menu, if you have some setting enabled that conflicts with them, you can't override it temporally. You just get a big warning and fuck you.
