What events/activities/resources do you use to find good subject matter? I don't want to hire models because that's pervy, but I want to take better photos of people. Pic not related

Try photographing what wildlife or plants you have in your area. Document what goes on in your area too.

Go to a retirement home and see if old people will let you photograph them. There's a guy that goes to anime conventions and gets lots of fun people pics.

Well nigga, participate in something that interest you that have a social part. Even if its going to anime cons to snap photos of cosplayers, its would help you to be less autistic about taking photos of people.

Then make it so that it doesn't look like models, make them pose naturally or bite the bullet and only shoot once or twice in normal scenarios although that is burning money unless they are close to you.
That or, may God forgive me for saying this, get good at shooting Cartier-style "Street" photography.

I got a macro lens and it's a lot of fun, there's always shit to take photos of almost anywhere
