>>507553868 (OP)I actually came up with the exact same tactic when thinking how an advanced, modern could be defeated on the ground. Air power, drones, missilesโฆall very impressive stuff. But at the end of the day, you have to put boots on the ground. And those boots will absolutely have to engage in close combat.
The only possible way would be to seed the nation with individual pods โ like four or five men โ but thousands of pods. They would have to be trained to fight without coordination, command or control. Itโs actually quite feasible in the modern world. Civilians have no stomach for bloodshed and traditional militaries are trained and equipped to augment artillery and to secure urban spaces after intense bombing.
Widely scattered pods of operatives would spread defenses so thin and present such a novel threat that thereโs no good way to deal with it.
And if these pods are themselves supported by drones and missile strikes, such a force could well topple a modern advanced nation.
I think such pods have been seeded all over Europe and America. And whatever threat they pose to us is miniscule compared to the threat Israel would face from them. The smaller the geographic are, the more effective such a strategy would be.
This is almost certainly Irans strategy. I could never make sense of the seeming dissonance twixt Iran and Hezbollah. It was like they were being used as a decoy instead of a proxy.
Things could get very interesting very soon.
