I still remember the character breakfast I went to at Disney as a kid so while you got ripped off, at least your kids should remember it as a fond childhood memory if it had the characters there. I have no sympathy for retarded parents that get duped into expensive bullshit like Disneyland.
Anyone who has been a child knows that cheap local amusement parks and fairs are more memorable anyways.
You condition your child to want this shit when you stick modern cartoons and ipads in their faces that advertise this shit to them. It's a doom loop that you cause by being inattentive, and it makes having children unnecessarily expensive.
Kids will be just as happy with cheap or free experiences until you create an environment that tells them they shouldn't be and that they should expect super awesome shit-your-pants-special princess vacations.

In my family, we consider a special breakfast to be mom cooking some hungry jack and me putting some sausages and egg on the skillet.

Did some research: The Disney Princess Breakfast is ~$142 per guest, so this is probably 3 kids and 2 parents. The completely fucking absurd price is mostly because you're paying half a dozen park actors to spend a the duration of a three-course breakfast waiting on and entertaining your kids.

So while I get it, you'd still have to be an absolutely spoiled retard to spend that kind of money on this.

I never go attached to Disney as a kid. Feels weird so many people are die hard Disney fans. We didn't grow up poor, but me and my brother never really saw any Disney movies. Exactly.
It makes my kid's entire day when I walk her down to a nearby farm so she can look at cows. She thinks it's the coolest shit ever. Costs me nothing, just the time required to walk there. That's a fun treat for her and it's honestly pretty cute.
In the process of trying to spoil their children with material things and expensive experiences, parents will make it hard for their children to enjoy more wholesome activities. Many of them think money can replace the time you should invest and it never will. Hours of free time together, playing with them, reading > whatever expensive toy or vacation you have planned.

You could have had a week long camping trip, you could have gotten a modest hotel near a beach for a three day weekend, or you could have taken them roller skating and to a water park and had money left over. You could have taught them how to fish, rented paddle boats, gone to any other amusement park in the country.

Yes and no. Nothing wrong with a nice vacation but the idea of paying for special experiences or toys will condition your children to that type of affection, which is a very low-quality affection.
It's basically the refined carbs of formative quality time. Addicting, but provides little substance and will lead to chronic problems if provided excessively.

Good way to make sure your daughter actually gets to see Ariel/Jasmine/Elsa whatever if youโ€™re at Disney world since the park is huge and you might never run across them in your time there. Again if youโ€™re a poorfag what are you even doing at Disney? Go to a bowling alley or something.

Itโ€™s the type of affection rich celebrity parents give their kids because they donโ€™t have time to praise them properly.
Or parents who work a lot and theyโ€™re career addicted so they just slap an iPad into the hands of their kid and take them to Disneyland and call it a day

If it's done sparingly on a vacation I think it will still be okay, the worst case scenario in this case is that they become a Disney adult which is basically failing as a parent. I'd never shell out the fucking $900 for a meal like that, my initial post was saying he should have just went to the cheapest one that still had characters because it's the same thing.

At least back in the day, Disney was fun though but I've heard it's very overcrowded now and the p2w shit to skip lines got much more expensive as well.

Some People are overly obsessed with their careers because they love money more than their children.
These people will waste a lot of money on Disneyland once in a while in order to calm their conscience about not being sufficiently present in and aware of their kids development.
But little do they know, the huge monetary sums spent on gimmicks, shallow fantasy and facades won't bring back their kids childhood!
These experiences will in fact likely be in detriment to their children, as they teach drastically false expectations about the world to kids.
This sort of parent will bitterly regret their life choices as they age while their children slowly grow distant.

Missing the point entirely and this is why most rich kids hate their parents and have major personality disorders.
It doesn't matter how much money it is to the parent. They could be a millionaire. You're still teaching your kid that more money spent = more affection given. And especially in the case of rich parents, this seems like an easy way out because they have more money than time.
In reality it is quality time that is priceless to a child.
I grew up in this exact scenario -- nice house, timeshares, multiple Disney vacations, a nanny, etc. After all that shit, my best memory with my dad was when he randomly signed me out of school just to have lunch with me one day.
It's why I'm not doing that shit to my kids. Money can't hide a lack of proper parenting. It's important to have enough that they're never thinking about money or lacking things as they grow up, but that's about it.

They've come full circle. When Disneyland opened, the admission fee only got you through the gate. You had to buy tickets for each ride. Eventually they came out with unlimited passes as an option and then years later did away with the individual tickets, probably to save money on the overhead involved. With RFID tags, they can now bring back individual charges for rides without the overhead.

Kids don't give a shit if their dance classes cost $20 or $200 bucks a pop when they're four. These expensive kid experiences are more for the parents to ego-stroke. My kids can throw rocks in a pond all afternoon and have the time of their lives. The really sad part is these parents think they're doing their kid a favor by scheduling their childhoods and buying expensive experiences when what the kid actually needs is just outdoor space to explore and their imaginations.

Poorfag cope. This is only true in TV shows. Most poors have terrible relationships with their families. Most rich kids have excellent relationships with their parents because people who work hard and succeed in life donโ€™t just turn it off when it comes to family life.
There are workaholics out there who neglect their children but neglect is far from the worst things poorfags do to their kids. And usually their spouse picks up the slack in that case cause they donโ€™t have to work with one partner earning so much.
Honestly poors need to be more humble and stop pretending to be so superior. Rich people just do everything better in most cases. There are no advantages to being poor.

My kids were clamoring for Disney but its just too expensive and shitty now. I think our weekend vacations where my wife and I take work off Fridays and Mondays or tie it in with holidays and go to national parks or other places are better. Cost at most $200 for the day, find a cheap hotel to sleep in between 2 locations, etc.
A trip I have planned soon is we are going to find some place to watch fireworks on edge of a city, go to a hotel near a state park, visit the state park and then a cool cave system near that park, go to a hotel near Chattanooga and then go to a few museum and Rock City, stop at another hotel near Nashville, visit some places like the Hermitage and other historical locations then go home. 4 day trip all in all.
Not counting fuel and food, it is going to be less than $300 counting hotels and park/museum admission fees. Probably will be less than $500 once all is done unless gas price jumps. Visiting 3 different cities and meeting some family at a few of the locations. Infinitely better than standing in line for 4 or 5 hours a day. At worst will have a 90 minute drive but when I went to Disney it was usually 30 to 45 minutes from leaving hotel just to get to park at opening then speed walking or running to attractions just to try to get in line early with another 30 to 45 minute trip back to hotel.
Some weekends we do things more local, plenty of small farms where you can pick crops for a few bucks then keep them. Petting zoos and other stuff. Take the crops home and teach them how to cook using them. All things my parents could have done with me but instead would just watch TV or spend thousands for Disney once every few years. Hopefully they look back and enjoy it and don't seethe over no Disney but we could do probably 11 or 12 trips like I have planned for the price of a single Disney vacation for a week.

Sounds about right. Hard for kids to understand the value of material things when money is kind of just thrown at them all the time.
A lot of those parents have like, a handful of bad memories of being disciplined and they go way overboard doing the opposite. Common with millennials, probably because most of them were raised by retarded boomers.
They don't realize that not disciplining a kid just teaches them that you don't care.

Yea. I've been to Disneyland 3 times, twice in one year back in high school. This stuff is expensive and you pay for everything, there is no all inclusive with this place. It's even worse now with the inflation and the Disney "Adults" going there and mucking it all up. Other than that you aren't missing much, no intense coasters, everything is made for girls, and it's life on easy mode. The only saving grace is that they have their own LA themed stuff so you don't have to go get aids in the real LA.

I have definitely noticed when someone is given excessive material things that they want, there is a growing entropy among them and they associate fun and good things only with what is expensive. Maybe why its difficult to date a woman from a wealthy family, if you don't spend tons of money on her she may perceive you literally don't love her as that is all she knows.

We still had a lot of fun going camping, swimming, went to some smaller theme parks, water parks, etc. And honestly? We were probably better off for it. Now we're both conservatives wise to jew shit and my Mom believes in the Ice Wall. Meanwhile my half brother who's Mom did take him to Disney when he was a kid grew up to be a die hard lib, left the church, racemixed, and for his honeymoon went back to Disney with a detour for his wife to go to a Taylor Swift concert that must've cost like 20K.

I hated Disney from an early age. When we were kids we got to choose which Disney movie to see in school and the girls always got to see their choices, we boys were basically told to fuck off until we started complaining. I also realized Disney doesn't have much for boys until they bought out FOX, Star Wars, and Marvel. I was too old by then to care about Disney.

We go to Kings Canyon and the parks around Fresno to escape. Kings Canyon is good country and the Northern Sequoias and Yosemite are not bad. I do want to make my way around the back side and go up the Whitney trails someday.

>Yeah sounds pretty much identical. I increasingly understand why Tolkien didn't like Walt Disney for infantilizing and turning fantasy into more soulless consumer slop.
Tolkien didn't like Uncle Walt because Walt was an explicitly racist and antisemitic Protestant, while Tolkien was an anti-racist Catholic who liked the jews enough to lionize them in his work as the dwarves.

Walt will always be more based than Tolkien in the grand scheme of things. Nothing jews have done to Walt's legacy can change that. They took such pains to ruin his legacy in part because he was that kind of man. I don't even hate Tolkien, I respect him immensely. But his faggot Catholic character shone through when he said in his latter years that he regretted somewhat making a race that was purely evil (the goblins), or implying that racemixing is inherently evil and only produces monsters that hate and destroy everything around them (the uroks and trollkin).

I would assert that his own fundamental Christian character was stronger than the faggot lies of his gay Pope church, which is why those racial truths shone through in spite of his very worldly faith in the Vatican. By contrast, Uncle Walt was in no way conflicted with what he believed in. He was an openly racist and antisemitic Christian, and proud of it. I wish Tolkien could have overcome the brainwashing before his death, but even though I admire him and his body of work tremendously, his triumphs as a man are not equal to someone who DID see through the lies and accept the real truth. Which Walt did.

God is racist. God is sexist. God hates faggots and niggers. God insisted we punish racemixing with death, and Christ said those moral laws were good and should be followed. God hates the jews, and there will be no jews in heaven. Walt had no problem with this, but Tolkien's church has been coping and seething their way around those realities for over fifteen hundred years. Universalism is a false god.

I think Disney has a really big whale problem in America, a lot of their "premium" services get booked up by the Disney adults and they drive the prices up for everyone else because they will pay the retarded prices and there's enough of them to sustain it at those price points because they want to do it for clout and to show off to their other Disney adult friends.

Being married to a Disney adult has gotta be hell.

My below poverty-line parents snuck in peanut butter sandwiches for lunch instead of buying overpriced, moderately good park food that provides temporary utility, and got FREE park tickets by sitting in an hour long timeshare marketing scam, declining every offer the predatory salesman made.
It's like modern consumers don't understand that free market means you don't have to buy every fucking thing sold to you. Instead, people willingly go into debt, then whine on social media to complain about the price of free market items, and then have the audacity to complain about the "death of the american dream" or some other nonsense. No. You just suck. You suck at the free market. You suck at managing finances. You suck at saving money or price cutting. You believe you deserve everything marketed to you.

People like to say that before they find out that their kids steal their house and have secretly been draining their parents bank accounts and having their parents declared unfit to manage their affairs and steal everything their parents own to punish them for being miserly jews who are miserly purely to torture their kids for their own private gag reel when they are growing up.

(Legit happened to a friend of mine; his parents went out of their way to fuck him over growing up being stingy kikes while splurging on themselves; he got the last laugh by pretty much stealing the deed to their house, stealing all of their money from their bank accounts, and then successfully gaslighting the courts into giving him power of attorney and shipping them off to a crooked nursing home where his mom was raped by a negro and his dad got tortured due to their son telling the staff ahead of their being checked into the establishment that his parents were bigots.

They overprice the food because they're kikes, and they know people are going to need to eat if they're staying at Disney. It's all sub-par food, too. There's a great little town inn near where I live that makes a killing off of tourism, but every Sunday they have a breakfast and brunch buffet that they run just for the locals. The timing is fairly strict, but the buffet is $15 a head, and it includes everything you want from the buffet, plus all drinks included (i.e. you can get milk, coffee, and a glass of juice if you want, it's all included in the price). The buffet includes custom waffles with whatever you want in them, and custom omelets; since it's a seaside inn, crab meat and shrimp are both options for omelet toppings.

I went to Disneyland once years ago, back before all the fag shit and fastpasses were implemented, and even then in their hey-day, the quality wasn't as good as what a good local place will serve.

It's not there to be 'good.' It's fake luxury, it only needs to appear good enough. The jews running the place know they've got you buy the balls, they know you're not likely to turn down breakfast with a Disney princess actress, especially if you're already there spending money and the kids want to see it.

It's a nuisance fee. It's not even about the experience, not really. They're overcharging you in the hopes that you're too busy to complain or notice the price tag.

The jews did not claim to be the 12 tribes of Israel until the late 1860s, and no one in America believed they were until the Scofield Reference Bible was published in 1909. Walt was born in 1901.

Catholics are faggots who worship niggers and ignore God's laws. They will be punished when God destroys the jews.
