The spiders in my house are retards and just run around without actually spinning any webs. I kill them all on sight and you know what? I never see any other bugs, just fucking spiders. What the hell would I ever consider leaving them alone for when they're the only pests I see. I don't know what kind of shithole someone must be living in they're house is so infested with bug they have to rely on spiders to clean it up.

Anon, cellar spiders are the ones keeping all the other bigger and deadly ones at bay. Their bodies are very small compared to other spiders, but their long legs help them kill fucking everything else.
Plus, they're harmless to humans and are very docile if you want to relocate one. Just move them with a cup and put them in a corner somewhere in your house if you don't want them in your room.

I remember some 20/20 episode about a retired couple buying their retirement-dream home and it being totally infested with black widow spiders. It seems the house was built on the grounds of an old saw mill where giant mounds of saw dust was dumped over the years, perfect for spiders. The walls, attic and everywhere in-between was loaded with spiders and their eggs. The town condemned the property and because of the danger they didn't tear it down but did a control-burn. they were planing to rebuild but no idea what happened after..

they can. well in a way, when they bite, they kill heaps of cells in the area and around, dead cells have no defense, gets infected very easy, jeans hold heaps of bacteria, have to stick them in an oven to kill, washing machine wont. so its very easy for it to happen. . This happened to me too. I got bit by a brown recluse on my elbow and it swelled up puffy and red, I didn't go to the doctor and 25 hours later, the red puffy bite circle was beginning to heal but my forearm and triceps began to turn a light shade of yellow and it ached mildly, I began to worry but being confident jn my immune system and having been bit and cut and injured wounded many times in my life with very few actual hospital trips I gave it another 25 hours and the yellow on my arm spread and darkened a bit and my muscles felt warm and firm, almost like a bag of rice. I was REALLY CLOSE to going to the UrgentCare by my apartment but being stupid, slept on it one more night and it began to heal and the yellow began to recede, and went light yellow and then my arm went back to healthy white. The point is i nearly fucked up bad ignoring my wounded arm, the envenomation (combined with the puncture wound of the bite introducing the staph) nearly fucked me up bad. As my immune system was all systems go trying to put out the venom fire, the venom wreaking havoc on my cells allowed the staph to get a better foothold, cellulitis began. I got lucky.

Tldr if your arm begins to turn yellow after being bitten by something you should probably bite the bullet and go to a doctor.

Its because it crawled on your bed and got trapped under you. They don't ever bite unless they are scared. You scared it. Its not like other bugs. arachnid's are considered part of the animal kingdom unlike regular insects. There are smarter spiders than others. The ones that are really venomous typically are better at avoiding human contact. Because humans will eradicate their hives. The less venomous Spiders try to live in conjunction with humans. They just want to make a web and catch flies. There is nothing beneficial about fanging a human to a spider.

I love catching a lost spider and setting them free.

eh, I've been bit by spiders a bunch of times and that definitely looks like one.

The wound lasts for nearly a week and it oozes pus non-stop, also the inflammation makes you feel like you have a ping pong ball under the skin, fortunately the whole thing is not that painful, just very uncomfortable.

Have fun.

i have a good working relationship with several spiders in my house. same with the wasps on the back of my house.

i could be schizo but i swear they are sensitive to intentions and, having sensed that i mean them no harm, they don't get in my way and i don't get in theirs. nowadays i can walk past the wasps or spiders and not think twice, i just wish them a good afternoon and go about my business.

Go to an hospital immediately, don't risk losing an arm. this is serious.
Also don't kill the spider, you need to keep it alive for the venom to stop faster.

the huntsmans are the ones with long legs and small bodies that can get as big as your hand right? i used to have them in my house when i lived by the jungle in vietnam. at first they scared the shit out of me...turning on the bathroom light at 3am and seeing it a foot in front of my face...but i eventually learned that they kept the place bug-free. huntsmen are good in my book

Oh I meant bring the spider with you to the hospital in a jar. They will identify the spider and produce the correct antivenom.
It's the same procedure done with snake bites.

gets bitten by a snake. says same thing. dude, you have no idea what you are saying. no deadly spiders there?
"A brown recluse spider bite can cause local tissue damage, leading to a necrotic lesion or ulcer, and in some cases, systemic reactions. While not typically fatal, the venom can cause severe skin damage, including skin necrosis (tissue death) and scarring. "

"A redback spider bite can cause immediate and severe pain at the bite site, which can spread to other parts of the body. Other symptoms may include redness and swelling at the bite site, sweating, nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle aches, and general tiredness. In some cases, symptoms can persist for weeks after the bite."

It technically could be. And come to think of it I think spider bites that look like that are kinda rare. A staph infection happens when you live in an unclean environment. Its people who never wash their sheets or shower. Or clean up at all so they get these weird bacterial infections.

you know whats fucked. they found a bigger one that lives further up north, like about 1000kms away. thats deadlier. called it "Big Boy" its now at the number 1 position. those redheaded mouse spiders are awesome, they would cross my playground as a kid, would follow em, see what they were doing. cute little fellas
