It's not bunker busters
I can't share how I know this, but the conversation right now about "bunker busters" in the media right now is coded language. The US has space-based railgun. From outward appearance it looks like an ordinary satellite but it contains multiple giant needle-like rods that are fired using a giant magnet. It can hit almost any target on Earth precisely and travels many multiples of the speed of sound. It is capable of piercing almost a kilometer deep into the earth and yes it can carry a payload. There isn't any defense against it, it cannot be detected on radar, and it cannot be duplicated by any nation that lacks a space program.

This is what the Israelis are asking for when they reference the B2 bombers and the "bunker busting" bombs. Those weapons won't work against Iranian targets and they know it. What they want is access to the US railgun to hit targets inside the mountains. This is what Trump meant when he said we "control the skies" and they could kill Iran's leader at any time. Iran could have the world's best air force and best air defense. It would be worthless because we own the space above it and the greatest air defense ever cannot stop a 100 foot long needle traveling faster than a thought. But once used, the weapon may no longer be secret and it has more value as a secret.

>Ummmmm source????
This weapon and its existence is basically open knowledge in the defense industry and if you talk to those people enough they will eventually brag about it because they are not bright.

Doubtful a sattelite could even generate all that power. There are no rods from gods up there because it would cost an arm and a fucking leg, even for the US, to bring a single telephone pole sized tungsten rod up in to space as well as manage the engineering principle beyond the concept design.

meanwhile, in real life, Russia is the only country that has demonstrated a kinetic weapon. If the United States had such a thing they'd be chomping at the bit to show it off in Iran. The "weaponization of space" is not an issue it's a foregone conclusion. The US has no hesitation to pull out of any treaty it may violate.

The truth is that while such "weapons" may have been built they do not work. If they worked they would be used.

My understanding is that it wasn't done in a single shot, this is a multi year long project. The weapon isn't a single satellite but is like four or five that either were put together later or have some kind of interlocking function. (Think like a rifle that assembles itself.) The ammunition itself is telescoping and permits a hollow core that can be filled either with a liquid or gas. Once the needle is extended to full size it is so precisely machined that the seams are invisible and also it cannot be returned to original size. I don't recall the material but some kind of tungsten alloy sounds right.

Why would it move the satellite? Not exactly a lot of air in space. At most you'll have to deal with the fact that the Satellite is much lighter now but if it's hollow anyway the mass of the projectile probably isn't that significant.

>Russia is the only country that has demonstrated a kinetic weapon.
Add China to that, testing in 2018 they concluded a tungsten projectile will penetrate a maximum of 80 times the diameter of the missile. This appears to be a finite limit of return because the plasma generated strips the material of the rod away even as it penetrates. USA plans for such a weapon posit a 30cm rod, which with China's results would mean a maximum penetrative depth of 24 metres, which is fairly impressive, though still couldn't bust deeper bunkers than that.

Total fucking fiction, since all the skywatchers and satellite trackers are japanese trainspotting-tier autistic and we would know about it.
>and permits a hollow core that can be filled either with a liquid or gas.
For what fucking purpose, this doesn't make any conventional sense since you want a solid object, hence why you'd use tungsten because of the high density, which for it's volume gets you the most mass, which in turn gets you the most force when it slams back into the planet with the force of a fucking a fucking A-bomb.

I admit I didn't make the thing so I can't fully explain how it works. But as I understand it
>The rod is magnetically charged
>When the rod is released it is moving without any accelerant. There's no "boom" like if you fired a gun.
>When it enters the atmosphere it is moving so fast that it can't be seen with the naked eye.
>It can pierce anything and can theoretically hit a target a kilometer deep.
>they can either stick something on the tail of it or fill the interior of the needle with a substance that acts as a payload
As I understand it the idea was this would be used as an assassination weapon for higher value targets. For example if the US went to war with China, we could immediately kill almost all of their leadership before nukes started flying. Israel wants to use it to blow up Iranian nuke sites, but it probably would not be as effective as they hope.

We relied entirely on russia to maintain the international space station for thirty years, which is now being decommissioned after a jeet shit all over the hab modules, no longer have anyone that can plot a moon landing trajectory, don't even have a presence in space at all beyond privately owned satellites and thus, no space superiority. And you think we have secret space weapons.

To break through atmosphere? Explain an object dropped from space. Satellite break apart on falling. Rockets and craft use fuel and speed to reenter.

Any orbital platform can be tracked and many satellites.

This topic is larping project Thor. Was it ever developed? Or did any space treaty, no weapons in space, now somewhat revoked build an orbital platform to fire it from?

Nice slide thread b8 m8. But your op-pic is 50+ years old, anyone with any level of aerospace engineering knowledge would confirm that just by the look of that old piece of crap.
As for railguns like Project Thor - these are indeed a viable idea. Russia 100% uses satellite killers and deploys space nukes. It might not need a railgun as it's easier for it to launch MIRV stuff via military (Oreshnik, Satan-II). That's more efficient that trusting civil Roscosmos for its railgun reload missions. When it comes to railguns, it's all about the price of getting the payload up there you see. You can do it once but you won't be able to reload easily. With Oreshniks, you can build as many as you like as launch them orbitally, as if you'd launch them off an orbital railgun. But you can launch Oreshniks and Satans even once the bombs fall. With space railguns, you'll lose such ability the moment your society collapses (civil launches require insane logistics).
But yeah, US might have a railgun and a couple of secret orbital shuttle bombers. You don't need a satellite to drop a rail you see - you can even do it off a space shuttle (that's what they were built for in the first place).
And yeah, when they say 'a rail' they obviously mean 'a rail and a nuke'.
Chinks 100% have a satellite killer too.
And Poland cannot into space.

You obviously have no concept of how orbits and gravity work. Orbital velocity (the speed at which an orbital object is already moving) is ~Mach 22 for a 150 mile high orbit.

An impactor capable of ablative reentry would only require the application of modest retro-velocity in order to deorbit on a ballistic trajectory.

>>and permits a hollow core that can be filled either with a liquid or gas.
>For what fucking purpose, this doesn't make any conventional sense since you want a solid object
It is like a valve that increases or decreases the intensity of the impact. You might not need or want the whole rod to go down 1000 feet. Additionally, different chemical compositions can have interesting qualities when the ammunition is in flight versus when it impacts the target. There are some tank and artillery munitions, for example, that are liquid while flying and become a solid when hitting the target. There's a similar concept at work here with these weapons.

The main thing Russia is offering Iran is strategic guidance. They're helping them plot out the pacing of the conflict and it's working. Iran has anticipated the USA scheme to try and empty Iran's stocks in Israel then come in when the coast is clear. As such they've preserved a special treat for the Americans. Most likely they kept significant air defense tools like any high-end Russian stuff in bunkers, only to roll-out afterwards. Also we know that decoys were used and some of the things Israel attacked were surely not real AD resources or active silos. The main guy Russia has in contact with Iran has been Shoigu.

Breaching the atmosphere. Fired at speed like a rocket with fuel. Otherwise it breaks up on reentry. Like an asteroid or comet. Of course it's slightly more aero dynamic as a rod. Expect it's on a fly over matching orbit. You're firing a needle at the ground. Into a fucking haystack. Turbulence. It will miss and blow everywhere. Are you retarded. You'd need an orbital platform firing it, and even then any alignment requires precision. Trips to the ISS. Space X guided reusable rockets with thrusters. Or an ICBM with guidance and thrusters. A rod belows about on entry. It would hit everything but the target. Within in what kind of range. Nowhere near.

Nobody (else) here is deluded enough to believe "everyone would know" under those circumstances.

Who is going to test? How will they be heard? And who will believe them, over the power of a full-spectrum wartime propaganda campaign?

Most importantly, no one will *want* to believe that the U.S. nuked another country -- not even the rabid anti-Trump people -- because accepting this will break their world view in muliple fundamental ways. Even if they hear the truth somehow, they will be allergic to it.

We've been through enough of this to recognize how it works in practice.

They will nuke the facility, and it will never be acknowledged. Most of the schizos / disagreeables will get sucked down the "rods from God" conspiracy rabbit hole that will be prepared for them. Some of us will "know the truth" (just as many know the 9/11 narrative is a lie), but it won't actually matter.

Indecisiveness. If and when an opponent is stunned you give them hell especially if causality is the same causation.

Any obvious concerns are allies and opponents and what becomes of the nation. What takes shape after. The toppling is easier done. No debate there. Despite any weathering blitz. What kind of timeframe and cost. What happens to refugees. What exactly is the goal.

Except for argument's sake. Simple argument. Why didn't you just get it done when they were stunned. Float some heavier bombers over it and test the bunker penetrator and right it off as Israeli tech.

After any other options would still remain. The unknown factor perhaps of what did they have? Causing doubt. And perhaps any counter Intel might've assumed something else. But?

Who cares it's more likely odds than not. If I were a betting man what's the actual of direct American involvement. I don't think there's Iranian surrender on the same odds. The shitty news is airing a lack of penetration

Ultimately I believe that israel and the jews in America lied to Trump about how successful their initial strike would be/was and now he's neck deep in shit because he wanted to take all the credit and look strong and tough. Domestically his best move is to cancel the war as per above. He'll still be without support but it will be much worse if he escalates into a real conflict. The only way he could salvage any popularity out of this would be arresting/killing Netanyahu and/or toppling the Israeli government. That would be wildly popular.

Finally, ignoring that it'd require the entire planet ignoring a massive space station in low orbit that'd be visible to anyone with eyes and the ability to look up, you have the "how the fuck do they get the thing into orbit" when the past 30 years the US has lacked any way to get stuff into orbit without begging other countries to launch stuff.

>Muh 50 year old tech
B-52s are 70 years old, not 50. This point is irrelevant, because these bombers are constantly updated with new technology. Most equipment of all advanced nations is decades old, but even saying that is inaccurate. The tech changes constantly and any platform that is ACTUALLY from 70 years ago doesn’t hold a candle to the updated craft that uses the same frame. This doesn’t even account for the B1 or B2, both of which are highly advanced. Also, there’s no such thing as a DEI pilot. It’s the one talking point I don’t agree with right-wingers using, because liberals can easily debunk it and therefore delegitimize the very concept of DEI being an issue, which it absolutely is. It’s the perfect ammo for them. Most highly-skilled white military pilots aren’t even trained enough to fly our most advanced aircraft, I promise you there isn’t a shaniqua flying a long-range strategic stealth bomber. Most “50-year-old tech” is 10-25 years old if that. You meed to understand that WWI-Cold War Era was the most extreme period of rapid technological advancement and human ingenuity in all of history and that much of the tech that seemed Sci-Fi 40 years ago when it was made still isn’t obsolete now, particularly when constantly upgraded. That being said, to the extent that any “older” tech is obsolete, it is only because that field is constantly moving forward.

If you think our tech is bad, everyone else’s is atrocious. This perspective isn’t justifiable unless you come from a highly advanced alien race .

electromagnetic rail-guns are serious business. it doesnt even need an explosive payload, just an extremely dense chunk of metal. the fact its moving so fast will cause more than kinetic damage, it'll burn up whatever it passes through. and when its a rail gun fired DOWNWARD? its velocity is going to remain extremely high as compared to firing upward or parallel to the earth. all they really need is a targeting system and solid intelligence of where assets are hidden.

theres a lot of secret weapons and defense systems that have hardly seen the light of day. there is what they put on regarding the latest and greatest, and then theres actually what they got hidden away. and there is the psyop angle to it all. which can go either way regarding convincing your enemy you do or do not have something.. like a card game. you can bluff having a good hand or not having a good hand. needless to say the US has probably done both, however id definitely bet on the US having a strong hand. and being wise enough to keep it a secret until the right moment.

the reason they have not been used is probably due to a physics problem. its basically a one use system that is STUPID expensive. the needles could be very large and made from depleted uranium. because consider how a railgun works, expecially a highly powered one.. and what we've been told bout low or zero gravity environments. how would a satilite with that strong of a weapon be able to maintain a stable orbit? it probably destroys the whole system once its fired. and it aint easy making more needles and floating them up there... so they've saved it as an ace in the hole.. and as the saying goes, they dont want to bust their nut too quickly. and leave it to the jews to pressure us into prematurely ejaculating.

You remember Physics, right? Every action has an equal, but opposite reaction, meaning firing something downward would propel the satellite upward, by that same amount of force. Basically, your satellite would get blasted hundreds of miles each time the weapon was fired.

possibile outcome: 5 foot length, 1 foot wide tungsten rod fired from above low earth orbit. (725 kilograms) would have the kinetic energy of the approximately 3.625 × 10^10 Joules. its roughly equivalent to around 8,670 metric tons of TNT in terms of explosive energy. the bomb on hiroshima had 15,000 metric tons of tnt equivalent. half of a nuke is still good. 4k satellites+ that his shekel company put up
one starlink satellite is 573 lbs
260kg
they launch dozens at a time

20 ft diameter rod was their concept, idk the lenght

they used one on tianjin in china, remember that "are we dangerous?" "YEAH WE'RE DANGEROUS" video with the huge explosion?
if it was a normal chemical explosion the crater would have been narrow and shallow- instead it was almost perfectly round and like 300 feet deep, and so hot it boiled when they filled it with water a few days later.

also don't underestimate scalar interferometry, which might/probably make use of orbital platforms for at least one part of their process in addition to phased arrays on the ground, on boats and in the sky

Joseph P Farrell has some really good blogposts where he talks about Tianjin. iirc he speculates that it was actually targeting a supercomputer helping to coordinate the logistics of the nearby super-ports which process a big % of the containers leaving china

https://www.spaceforce.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/4112259/x-37b-orbital-test-vehicle-concludes-seventh-successful-mission/

plus obviously if we have TR3B type anti-gravity craft then they are probably up to all sorts of shenanigans out there in space and the upper atmosphere

here's another Dr Farrell piece where he talks about how the deep state might have already been hitting iranian research/military sites with black project weapons, written back in 2020
https://gizadeathstar.com/2020/07/one-two-three-iran/
>But there's a wider context here that bothers me, and thus far, I've not seen any propatainment, or alternative, media source raising the issue. Over the past few years, we've seen:

a series of chemical plant explosions in China, beginning with Tianjing. In this case, the explosion not only flattened the plant, but left what was in my mind a suspiciously narrow and very deep crater, leading some, including me, to speculate that it had maybe been struck with a "kinetic Rod of God" weapon;
a cave-in of a North Korean nuclear site after a nearby earthquake;
an ammunition dump explosion in Iraq;
explosions at Russian munitions plants, and a Russian hospital that may, according to some, have been involved in biowarfare;

For example, in 1965, the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot built a new computer and Gershom Scholem, the renowned scholar of Jewish mysticism, suggested that it should be named Golem Number One. At the dedication ceremony, Scholem drew parallels between Prague’s Golem and the Golem of Rehovot: both were created by human intelligence, both were controlled by their creators and performed tasks set by them, and both have the potential to outgrow their masters and develop destructive potentialities.

There’s no such thing as “Rods from God” being used operationally. If the US ever fired one, the Outer Space Treaty becomes meaningless. It only bans nukes and WMDs in space. Kinetic weapons aren’t covered, which makes it a legal gray area. Japan and Germany could absolutely build one—nothing stops them. They’ve got the tech and launch systems. If the US used one first, it sets the precedent and opens the floodgates. Russia, China, India, Japan, Germany—everyone starts building orbital weapons. That’s why the US doesn’t do it. Not because they can’t, but because once you go down that road, there’s no putting it back. Touch grass, schizo.
