Juneteenth is based
I don't understand all the people bitching about Juneteenth being a "fake" holiday. Slavery is an abomination, and a civilization abolishing it is absolutely an event worthy of celebration.

It was primarily whites who accomplished the elimination of slavery, not only in the US but most of the world. Shouldn't whites take pride in this accomplishment? Also, isn't slavery the primary cause of blacks being brought to the west?

This is dissembling. Nobody is demanding the holiday be renamed, they're demanding it not exist.

Great point, even private businesses should be required to give their employees the day off, should the employees wish to. This kinds of requirements would strengthen our sense of national heritage, and remind us (particularly greedy boomers) that there are more important things in life than waging.
