It's not a good thing but I've learned not to rush to judgement because of my own situation. I was a power builder (power lifted and bodylifted) and got super swole. 19 inch biceps, could deadlift 10x10 225 etc.

Lost my mom and dad to a drunk driver and started having issues at work then got depressed. Lost my will to live and just started drinking booze and eating a lot. Got over 300lbs and it took church/God to give me the snap back to reality I needed.

I think for people who're alcoholics, super obese or whatever, it is a form of mental illness. Not one your born into or can't escape from, but it is pure lunacy when people KNOW they're hurting themselves but can't stop doing it. Some people fix themselves because of church/God, some for their family, some for themselves. Some don't do it till they get the "You had a heart attack / crashed your car" etc moment "Fuck I almost died." Some just stay subsumed in their madness until they die.

i've never been fat and I'm not even like super fit or anything, I do exercise daily but I never used to when I was younger and I still wasn't fat then.
The closest I ever got was in college when I was studying for exams on Adderall and gained about 15 pounds, as soon as I realized it I just started drinking a lot of water instead of carbs and lost it in a few months.

Now I'm 6' 165 and I ride about 50 miles a day on my bike and just maintain this weight. Closest I've ever been to "fat" was 180.
