Well, let's see if you count scourging, mocking, hitting him on the head with a reed, beating him continuously, stripping him and redressing him after scourging him, smashed a crown of thorns into his head, made him carry a cross to crucifixion site, crucified him, stabbed him with a spear, and continued to mock him.

I don't actually know if proper Romans took part in any aspect of Christ's torture or execution. It could have very likely all been accomplished by judean auxiliaries, under Roman authority. Pilot didn't want to get too deep into Hebrew affairs.
