>>508496819Israel could 100% drag the US back into war if it wanted to but it would cost them even more political capital that I don't think they are willing to spend right now. And not only political capital with Trump and the US at large, but political capital within Israel.
/pol/ has to understand that the US strikes of Iranian nuclear facilities were designed to force Israel to deescalate. Bibi wants regime change in Iran. So do all the Zionists around Trump. But they bang on about Iranian nuclear capabilities because they have decided that this will be their excuse. Trump attacked their nuclear facilities so that they can no longer say that Iran is just two week away from getting a nuke or whatever bullshit they love to spew.
Yes it was a cucked move by Trump who should have just let Israel and Iran fight it out. But it was obviously his attempt to deescalate the situation and force Israel's hand.
The only dangerous part of his plan was the Iranian response. If Iran went all out on the US in retaliation then Trump's hand would be forced into massive escalation. But we all saw last year in the Iranian response to Israeli attacks that Iran was willing to exercise restraint with the aim to continue peace negotiations, and it seems that this is what they have done again.
