If you've ever been to a good bar, not a bar with good service, but a good, proper bar with an actual bartender that knows their shit, it can be akin to having a courtesan experience. A good tender will know how to socialize with people regardless of who they are, what they're looking for, and can suggest not only product but ways to occupy their time there or make the space more bearable for people. A bad tender throws a menu with you and thinks they're hot shit. I've had a bartender vouch for me and keep me out of booking, acting as a character witness, etc. A barista should be the same, only serving nonalcoholic drinks. Uppers instead of downers. A fat cunt with piercings is only concerned with getting more money so she can stuff more piercings and things into her cunt.

Not a big fan of Baristas - they're meant to be experts in coffee, but because I tend to only order black coffee, it's rare that I even bother.
Prefer to go to a small bakery, cake shop or cafeteria because they at least have some good food; absolutely hate Starbucks or Costa, those sorts of chains have food fit for a bin - the coffee is good, but they take their sweet time, rather just go behind the counter, knock out the girl with a degree in liberal arts and just hijack the coffee machine.
