The economy is about to take a massive shit. I haul concrete, last year we would max out hours every week in five days, this year I've been barely getting low 50s for hours for months. Part of it is the rain, but I dont think that's all of it. And I live in an area experiencing rapid growth. It looks like things are going to get very very bad soon for a lot of people.

If you saw what Mckinsey started doing decades ago, you would understand this has all been planned out massively.
The middle class isn't a reality and I have a very high paying job, yet still me and my girl have to work full time jobs to 'afford' a middle class lifestyle.
To give you some perspective, I worked with a guy who joined 20 years ago, and was literally on the same salary as I was.
Decent housing is no longer available, it is all about maximum profit with little incentive, healthcare is fucked, cars are overpriced and cost 2x what they did pre covid.
Unironically we are already living in a communist state with just extra steps and loads of brown people to do all the filler jobs.
You will really start to see the effects in 1-2 decades when the boomers start dying and all of a sudden there isn't much money going around, and suddenly people aren't going to be able to afford a house that's 10x their annual salary.
