Yup. The GOP has a historical problem of working really hard to obtain the power, but never wielding it, and then eventually squandering everything. That's why Dems have remained mostly in control of everything that's "institutionalized" for the last 25+ years. Because when they get the power they actually use it to their advantage.

A razor thin majority in the House and less than 60 votes in the Senate is hardly "full control".

The Senate Parliamentarian has done a lot of damage, removing the best parts of the BBB including expense cuts.

But Senate Republicans showed their lack of seriousness by failing to replace her. They could have done that. But "collegiality" or something, they let the thing fail.
