I think this says something, that there is actually a "limit" to what God can do, but the limit isnt because of lack of God's power or lack of character, the limit is inherent to the manner if which he made humans: "Created in the image of God". Think about how insane of a blessing that is and what powerful beings we really are if we are in the IMAGE of GOD.
Most Christians seem to think the reason God seemingly allows evil is because of "free will" but I think it's more than that and related to this nature of our being. God bestowed such an amount of power on us that it limited His own power and ability to control our actions. God refrains Himself from interventions against evil BECAUSE He is radically honoring the "image of God" nature he bestowed upon us.
