If the people in Gaza were removed, Israel would be vulnerable to a nuclear attack from any of it's many enemies. Human shields are a matter of national security.

The more Muslims there are in your country, the greater protection you have, with less likelihood of terrorist attacks which would kill their own people. Human shields are a necessary part of any form of Government, especially women, children, and of course a lot of babies. Babies are the front line of defense in a democracy
