Well as I said before, here are my honest thoughts on the matter:

I am a Muslim and have been homeless before, met a lot of military veterans. Many of them were spiritually defeated and hooked on junk, the GWOT was evil.

I held a lot of bitterness and resentment for the GWOT, but this experience changed my heart and these men are ultimately my countrymen.

I would like to do charity work for the homeless and invite them to Islam. Islam cures addiction and suicidal depression.

Muslims have an obligation to charity, it is called Zakat, and it extends to people in need of all creeds and colors.

I once held a lot of bitterness in my soul over this, but God tested me and I now I know the right thing to do.

Civilian occupational licensing requirements mostly destroy a veteran's ability to transition out of the military into civilian employment without taking on massive amounts of debt or investing themselves in a severely underemployed position for their training due to a lack of civilian certifications.
This locks most veterans in a cycle of poverty that doesn't allow them to take what they were trained to do in the military (and no its not just "die for Israel") and apply it to a civilian application which could allow them to succeed in life.
This sets a lot of veterans back heavily because their entire period of enlistment is largely wasted time unless they were somehow putting themselves through college as well while serving, which isn't always a functional option for someone who has to shift their location around every 270 to 480 days.
Simple facts are is veterans don't just die to suicide due to war related PTSD its because everything we put our time into means nothing because we didn't pay some fags in the civilian world to give us a piece of paper that gives us permission to work.
