Exactly, the risks are there. It's on a floodplain and they had adequate warning and if somehow they had all their forms of info turned off (phones, radio, TV etc) then that is on them. The chance of an eruption happening at all is close to zero let alone an eruption that would affect the area my school was in, but we had contingencies in place and drilled it anyway.
