I understand the criticisms of the BC series but there was something special about BC2 multiplayer. I love that pretty much every single FPS and even most RTS's have all added Wake Island map purely due to how insanely popular it was in the OG Battlefield 1942. I still remember hours of playing the BF1942 version. I learned to dive bomb on that map, literally just independently discovered that diving to release the bomb is more accurate than flying over. Found out Germans IRL did the same thing IRL in the Spanish Civl War as an adult lol. Child me independently rediscovered it myself in vidya form bombing cunts on Wake Island lol.

I'm an oldfag and Battlefield 2 is the absolute best in the series followed by BC2. It's crazy to think how much better games used to be when they didn't feel like second jobs. I would even take Battlefield 1943 over anything made today and it was like a $10 mini version of battlefield on Xbox 360.

I got so good at fast bolting with the Arisaka's that it reverberated back to making me a nigh unstoppable god with the Kar98k when the maps rotated back to RO2 content, since RS was always mixed in.

If there was a mad minute accuracy comp in that game I would have dominated it. I loved how bolting the rifle was a separate action to firing and loading too, and loading was interuptable and could be done per bullet or with clips, mags etc.

Currently playing Anomaly, got the exo, all the upgrades on guns and exo to reduce weight + equips and artifacts to increase carried weight, and I STILL am able to carry only some 40kg of stuff, as some 110kg is just my gear + items to fix gear.
Guess I'll have to farm Jupiter or Pripyat or whatever to get that top tier weight artifact.
