I just caught this fish — the highly invasive tiger oscar. What role should the government play in limiting the spread of invasive species?

Mayaheros urophthalmus Mayan Cichlid

The Florida Museum has a good info post about them.

Unfortunately, it's an uphill battle with invasive species. New species will continue to be introduced as regulation attempts to keep up with the economy of the exotic pet trade
