There is no indication that Trump ever actually went to the island, he is on the flight logs because he once took one of Epstein's planes from New York to Florida. He does indeed however seem to be aware of some specifics about what went down on the Island and had knowledge of several people who went before the flight logs became available. My guess would be Epstein at one point tried to bring Trump in on the scheme and didn't get the reaction he expected, hence him ending up banned from all of Trump's properties and Trump going to the FBI.
