i tried a beyond meat burger and a really popular vegan restaurant — even the cheese is vegan — and it was honestly uncanny valley. It had an unusual texture and my brain was expecting real dairy richness with beef but it tasted nutty/fermented/starchy and the patty was close but not quite there. This dissonance confused my senses and triggered my gag-reflex because my instinctive reaction to it was «something’s off».

i cant imagine many vegans that go for an impossible burger daily/weekly. they probably dont even have the desire to taste an imposter beef burger. impossible substitutes are more of a gimmick than an actual source of food. veggie burgers (black bean, mushroom, etc) are a much better solution because they actually provide nutritional value while also being their own thing, rather than just a bad substitute.

For years and years and years I used to scoff at "vegans" and "vegetarians " who rely on wannabe animal products but I gave them a try and again some are actually pretty decent - especially if you charr them and smother them in a fuckton of ketchup or whatever.

I'm not vegan. I just hate seeing creatures that can experience pain and suffering put through the most pain and suffering possible, from birth to death. And then put on my plate, still reeking of the sewer pit it was born in.
I eat mostly vegetables because factory meat smells like feces, actual shit. Even restaurants are starting to have that "chicken shit" smell coming out of them when I drive by.

What really hurts is the fact that when I zoom out from the cattle, chicken and pig farms, it looks like the rest of the USA. Feels like I'm an animal on a farm. I fucking hate it here on this gay clown hell world that continues to suck worse every minute of every day. I envy the people of the past who didn't get meat all the time, but at least is wasn't sewer-borne shit odors mutant food like people are eating today.

It was a trend among millennials that like are retarded diets will die out then return again a decade or two later. Two of the closest supermarkets (Tesco and Morrisons) to me have removed their vegan range due to not selling. When they still had it, the reduced to clear section was always full of the slop.
