Reminder that America is STILL ran by the Chicago and New York mafia.

They hate the triads and are neutral to the Russian mafias since they both pitch in to fund Israel. Chicago Mafia is business partners with the Mexican cartels, New York prefers Colombian but still does tons of business with the Mexicans too.

Yakuza is allies with the American mafias.

There's also a California mafia but not much is known about them, but they control a lot of the porn and gambling.

Mafias are basically just extremely violent highly organized labor unions. Mafias are used to subvert and overthrow dictatorships and monarchies.

The world is pretty much split between those 3 branches: Monarchies, Dictatorships, Mafia State.

The Cajun Mafia controls a lot of business in the South as well, heavily particularly in Louisiana but there's tendrils everywhere

After Gotti the mafia decided to go dark, you stopped hearing about the mafia by the 2000s they didn't go away they just no longer did media like before.

Somewhat related, OP, Did you see that Rahm Emanuel is doing media rounds? He was on CNN last night and they were referencing some other talk show appearance he'd done. They were talking epstein.. Struck me as an odd guest to see though.

one thing i've learned about over the last few years (from people who have firsthand experience) is how different industries are indirectly controlled by the mafia, or rather mafia-connected front groups

everyone knows about casinos/gaming industry but also construction developers (who work through friendly contractors), shipping (eg trucking companies), property development and investing (and then they fill the properties/developments with friendly businesses who are one layer further removed- eg restaurants, cafes, small shops owned by wives and relatives)

and don't even get me started on the philanthropic industry. at this point i am pretty sure that almost every foundation, community foundation, nonprofit, endowment etc is *primarily* used for money laundering and tax fuckery. (everyone knows these nonprofit orgs are tangentially involved in this stuff, but i'm saying *their primary purpose* (beyond social engineering and providing a pressure release valve/plausible deniability) is to facilitate crime

this stuff is on a scale that is hard to understand. everyone knows this black economy exists, but understanding that the black economy DWARFS the aboveground economy, and *most of the aboveground economy is directly dependent on the shadow economy* is mind boggling

the scale of these networks (or rather, this network-of-networks) is just unimaginable. it was huge back in the 80s and 90s but now they have successfully integrated the entire world into it. they have subsumed all other systems. it's ready for the collapse and subsequent creation of the new world order. the plumbing has been laid, the key actors are in place, the tech has been developed.

i hate to say it, but at this point it looks like satan has successfully conquered the world (mafia/organized crime is explicitly satanist)

Lucky Luciano made a deal to provide services in Sicily through his connections to help the allied effort, in exchange for being exiled there instead of life in jail.
Before that, cats like Capone were running sub-ideal merchandise behind the bootleggers who got patsied off as a virtue signal. Cops and Capone were close, not far apart.
Important to understand is that American law enforcement officers who are not the sheriff himself, are functionally private employees of a private corporation, and that corporation said "hey, do business with these guys, we need their help".
Prohibition was implemented to get the resources people were spending on booze away from independent stokers/distilleries and into the controlled black market supply chain, so that the mob could expand its organisation across a variety of families and trafficking of goods and services was made easier.
And naturally, people working for the mob (made or not) were pretty effective at preventing independent businesses from growing too big; if someone got too ambitious, they showed up to offer protection... from the violence they'd otherwise deploy.

I didn't mention the Jewish mob.
Now that I have, the matter of what on Earth they do for a living feels self-expanatory.
