This is the drivel of someone who has never had to worry about any of his needs being met once in his life.
If unemployment was at 50 percent, that would mean one of two things.
1. We're moved to a system where half of the population can not work and society still functions. In that system, employer leverage would be almost non-existent.
2. The more likely scenario, if half of the population is unemployed, spoiled little shits like this faggot have long since been dragged out of the mansions their father's paid for and either been strung up or eaten.

Kek, I was listening to Grapes of Wrath while driving today and remembered this guy when it spoke of banks targeting people for demanding a living wage. Banking and Real Estate has to be the two industries with the lowest utility to status ratio in the world. Plague rats have more value than them because least they force people to improve hygiene.

I don't know. I'm not a billionaire, but I've been in business for myself over twenty years and have done pretty well. One reason I believe I did well is because I try to pay my employees as much as I can. You're employees are your business. You should want them to do well. Happy employees equals a happy life. Also, if you pay people the minimum, that's what you get from them, the minimum they can do.

A lot of companies today are just out to fuck people, their customers and employees. They don't care about providing a good product or service. They just want to take advantage of people.

Paying people good wages means stable employee workforce in your business, my cousin is a contractor and he makes a lot of money and all his guys are earning double what his competitors pay them, simple thing about business is that if you show yourself to be trustworthy and to not fuck people over you name will be going around and you will get a lot more business than if you are trying to cut more corners.
Corpos are very innefficient in the use of their resources, while they try to save 5 bucks on something they lose millions due to that attempt. Not that modern corpos care since they have a monopoly on everything nowadays and are constantly working together to take the market prices where they want to.

Based. I have assets and a nest-egg outside of 401k and dependency on social security

Fuck all these leeches, if I have to pay top dollar for my healthcare I do not give a fuck if a cancer ridden baby or toddler is rotting from the inside, that is not our burden to bear. Nor is giving narcan to vagrants and low income degenerate leeches. The jail and prison system is overburdened, let them die. America is built on the opportunity for businesses to invest and grow their capital. We are not a charity, no matter how much socialist commie bastards want to push that narrative.

I will, and I use this example in real life to prove my point, stand there and watch a baby or child wither away until death, not because I enjoy it, hell no that is sick...but because I understand the value of being self made or handed opportunity and I am a realist. Bad shit happens to good people, but if we help everyone the nation goes into debt like you see now. If you make yourself into a millionaire or billionaire, you earned your rights to life. For middle class folks, more power to you, you seem happy. The purpose of the dark twist is to show people that the old days were brutal, you didn't come home with enough food from a hunt and your family and infants starve. You are expected in the modern times to at least pay for insurance, health and motor (liability at the very least).

People are so removed from this idea of our nature that they see privilege with anger and homicidal thoughts. Like woah, just because you are jealous or bitter does not excuse what you do to someone better off than you. My moral of the story has no silver lining, because not everyone can and will get rich and successful. You have to strive for it without being bitter

My father does well, he invested in me and I am no longer his burden, a self made man as capitalism intended. A helpful hand to stability does not equal hand outs, I paid father back with interest.

You seem to have missed the point of my post, it is not cruelty but that of realism. We do not care about solving starvation in Africa anymore, they became dependent on lifelong assistance and it created a welfare state. I belive the same to be true in the US with food stamps and medicaid. If you can not afford to pay for your own healthcare you do not deserve it. Your body is your temple, that is the number one priority. Many of you probably have negative debt, and you see no problem with it. Oh...you did a balance transfer to delay the interest, my golly you must be Buffet material!

You got your ideology from being precarious enough to understand that poverty awaits you, but rich enough to know what it's like to be rich. You are a scared little bitch and by your own admission you will throw sick children into the meat grinder to stay ahead. Very typical of small business owners, especially franchisees and dealership owners. You support the welfare state? I am not saying I WANT babies and sick kids to die, vagrants and addicts yes, but the rest is on the parent. An orphanage is fine to fund as a community, but to pay for every living souls health care is insane to me. Our modern medicine is not cheap, wefare and medicaid is ruining it and our innovation.

If those without paid health care die, I am just saying that's how things used to be before socialism. The cold reality. Family will tend to them, but if they succumb they deal with it and mourn. Ever see little house on the prairie?

I was a contractor for 15 years. It's all about reputation, that comes from, like you said, not cutting corners. If you cut corners on your employees, the people making your product, your product will be subpar. As a contractor the way I figured the price for my jobs, was to calculate what the best material would cost, then what it would cost to pay good workers to do a good job.

I've been in the restaurant/bar business for the last ten years. It is not figured that way. For most restaurant/bars they get their price point off of a supply/demand price equilibrium. Then, they try to maximize profits by paying as little as they can for ingredients and labor. And, most restaurants today are absolute shit. I figured my restaurant the same as I would have a construction job. How much will the best material/raw goods I can get cost me, and how much will good employees cost me to prepare the food. Price equilibrium be damned. It seems counterintuitive to a kike with a calculator, but that is how you build a reputable business. You figure what it costs to make a quality product, and your business will grow. Today for most businesses it's just how much you can charge for the cheapest product you can make.

I literally will never understand why this is not more common.

I've worked in jobs with shit pay where the turnover rate was damn near 50%. It was a fucking meat grinder. There's no way that continually offboarding, hiring, and training new people is more cost effective than just paying people a fair salary to being with. Absolutely fucking mental. And before you say that corporate, minimum wage, no-skill jobs don't count... this was a public school district with special services.

I finally landed a job in an environment where the average pay is 30% above market, and the effect is drastic. people don't quit. they get hired and stay for 30 years then retire. I've seen more retirements in 2 years than people quitting.

The world already produces over three times what it needs to feed everybody only reason there are starving people anywhere is due to artificial scarcity.
This isn't the 1000s, technology is so advanced in farming and other sectors too that nearly everything is just artificially made scarce by the powers that be to push their own social engineering.

>Today for most businesses it's just how much you can charge for the cheapest product you can make.
It is just this parasitic mindset that has been promoted for decades now ever since the "Greed is Good" Crowd. It infected every facet of this country. Doing something decently and trying will give you better results for your business long term than doing 3 jobs at that timeframe but horribly.

On a macro level being shortsighted is actually more profitable. Look at all the private equity firms that enshittify hospitals by loading them up with debt and selling off their assets. An investor that makes 15% on a stock that will crash after next quarter still won against an investor that made 10% on a growth stock. It's baked into the logic of post industrial finance capital

For how long though.
Sure maybe this year you see profits then next year too, but the year after that you need to fool somebody into holding the bag for you or you are fucked.
It is sad and it has already led to us losing our living standards and our economy has been stagnating while other catch up. It will not suprise me if in 20 years China will have beat us and you will see americans running to China for work.
What needs to happen is a hard reset and a lot of these institutions being destroyed and us hitching our money into something actual and not in the fiat shit we currently have entangled ourselves with, in the next decades where we lose hegemon status, america will not be able to manipulate the fiat system as it used to and it will lead to horrible economic consequences, better to bite the bullet early now and reform shit than do it later.

You can sell your investments at any time. When most of these hospitals start to crater the investors are long gone.

Muh gold standard won't fix not having an industrial base. If anything if the fed were directly democratically controlled and any citizen could get an account there at the fed savings rate every major finance institution would implode basically instantly

It will get us started on the right track again.
I know it will be awful and very difficult on the short term but in 10 years we will be much much better off than now.
Currently every major finance institution deserves to be destroyed top to bottom, the rot is set in you can only cut the whole thing away.

I went to Tannis restaurant supplier for the first time, thinking they would have better quality or cheaper products for buying bulk. Other than a couple outliers like a gallon of pizza sauce it wasn't cheaper and half the stuff I bought was garbage quality.

You'd think at some point they'd realize that making a little more money isn't really worth the added risk of the people getting sick of your shit dragging you out of your mansion and making you dig your own grave.

It will get our thinking and all our energy into actually creating things with value and long term stability, like factories, like energy plants and other things.
The whole service sector is going to be hit like a ton of bricks in the near future, and that will cascade all over. I think soon the conditions for reform will be very ripe as unemployment will rise to unbearable levels.

Lol, no, that's just the old way of doing business. Your family is old school. Nobody cares about a reputation anymore. It's what this anon said >>511101455 I went to school for business, I have a MBA, and that is what they teach you in business school. How to maximize a profit margin. There is no thought of building something to last. To them your business just needs to make the greatest profit margin it can, until you find someone to unload your inflated business on.

This >>511102085 most business owners are not trying to create something that last for years. They just want to make something that looks good for the first three years, then they can sell the business to some other sucker.

They're right though. That is how you get "rich" (whatever the fuck that means) in business. You know the saying "it's a cut throat business" all business is cut throat, if you're trying to get rich. And, that's all anyone wants in business now. No one wants to simply create a product they are proud of. Business today is just how much can you fuck the other guy.

Private security will just kill the wealthy and take their shit the NANOSECOND the central government's authority collapses and they don't have to worry about getting into a shootup with cops/soldiers or having their bank accounts frozen. Once they can just take the wealthy's assets for themselves with no repercussions they'll do it, immediately.
