The Martin renovation was considered in the cost projection and was ongoing, it is still being completed and always has been considered part of the federal reserve upgrade costs. It's the most egregious one actually since the renovations include premium floors, kitchenettes, and Herman Miller office furniture
Its renovation is as ongoing as the rest of the construction.
Only a midwit would be contentious over that and to deflect he needs to try to make his opponent look stupid. He can't refute the argument, it's plane as day right in front of him, and instead he tried to make him look stupid by saying it's not a new, they're not building. Trump misspoke one word and he went in on it. Renovation actually meets the colloquial use of building. I'm building a new game room. I'm building a new bathroom. Most people use it like that. Instead he worms and midwits his way out of it.
The way trump interacted here is why people voted for him. The reason people are upset with him now is because he isn't following the rest of his agenda like his IQ mogging of JP, (instead is behaving very much like a midwit, especially cucking on the tarrifs, the list, and isolationist foreign policy, probably because midwits have leverage over him now). This was a rare original and based trump moment and my favorite moment of his since the second term began. You can see how meanspirited and nasty powell is and just wants to appear smart, he wouldn't have been incensed if this wasn't his goal. Genuinely hate people like that in real life. You say one detail or word wrong and they split hairs to try to publicly embarrass you out of envy.
