Is Israel actually prepared for what will be some of the most intense urban warfare in history? There's easily 1 million people in a fucking 3 mile stretch of extremely densely populated urban areas.
The IDF has supposedly lost 1,000 troops and had 10,000 wounded, without going into the city center. Those could easily double trying to invade, clear, and occupy Gaza City. They turned a lot of it into rubble so now Hamas has even more ambush points ffs.
This is going to be a truly historic shitshow.

The problem for Israel is they're desperate. They know the world no longer supports them and soon domestically Netanyahu is losing his grip on power. They know it's now or never so they just announced the plan to invade, "clear hamas out", and occupy all of Gaza. That means they'll finally have to go into the city centers which they've stayed away from.

I still remember thinking when I saw fucking meme gliders invading Israel that Hamas' allies would invade Israel simultaneously. All they ended up doing was lobbing some missiles.

The Hamas Jihadists have been digging every tunnel possible. There is a city under the city, like mole-people and the jihadists have taught themselves how to convert unexploded ordinance into IED's. The IDF is mostly tech-people who are out of their element and aren't really comfortable doing wave invasions.

This is going to like the biggest fight of the last 20 years. It's so closely matched, and so uncertain. Israeli reputation is at risk right now so they have to go in. If they don't, then Netanyahu is a failure. The generals are already saying they are stretched too thin. What a shitshow.

The thing is, I don't know if Israel has the stomach for heavy loses. They're already wary of war having only lot 1,000 troops. Imagine if that doubled or tripled in a month. They can't just bomb it from above anymore, they actually have to get dirty.
