Shotgun
Why they dont shot down drones like shooting ducks or disks? Every squad should have a shotgunner for drones they should be easy as fuck to shot down

Birds are pretty fast. It can be done with a shotgun loaded with birdshot but they have to be quite low and you need to be skilled which if you have never actually been been bird hunting before, you aren't.

In the overwhelming majority of cases, the soldiers either don't notice the drone at all, or they notice it far too late. A shotgun is also useless for everything but shooting at drones. It is stopped by body armor and the low rate of fire and sparse ammunition makes it useless for suppression fire, which is like 90% of infantry combat. With a dedicated shotgunner, the squad would be effectively down by one soldier, who then would still fail to neutralize most drones.

Ive mentioned this before but people around me bird hunt while ripping down trails on 4wheelers, with a working hand it is impossible to miss with bird shot

Drones are faster, and you can shoot the drone, but most shots recorded on the battlefield seem to be shot done by excellent marksman it’s not something that can generalized as a secured way of defending against drones.

Russians have developed AK rounds with shotgun shot inside.

Not everyone got that skill. Especially kidnapped city-tards from the streets that end up on the front lines.

Drones usually aren't seen by enemy soldiers before it's too late. Sure some birdshot would absolutely down a drone especially with the kind of oversized shotguns they have, but since the shotgun defence is still relying on regular eyes and ears, electronic warfare is a more reliable method.

2-3 weeks training is not enough especially for unmotivated city fags that never handled a gun before.

Why don't they do [thing] to stop drones?

Because they're cannon fodder and it doesn't matter. They're dragged out of highschools and prisons to go die for bankers. It might be the entire point that they die, they're clearing the area for something else.

With enough budget and/or training, drones can become disabled in many ways. Whether it's shooting them down skillfully with birdshot, or Palmer Luckey's Anvil or that other thing that just makes every drone in the area drop like a dead fly.

Notice how most (if not all) "drone kills" are men who are already down and defeated. Possibly POWs or AWOL... men without backup, without strength left and without ammo.

drones are too fast for that. they can go 200 km/h. The technology to make laser weapons that can track flying objects and burn them already exists, but its not being developed for military use for some reason.

It takes a decade to mass produce lasers that take down drones, they have a limited number and limited production.

They do, but people want to sensationalise the impact of drones so they can sell more. Essentially drones are strategically and tactically worthless, the videos you see are the 1 or 2% that actually succeed, you don;t see the 98% that fail , get jammed, get shot down, battery goes flay, crash etc.

In the $100 to $500 practice range, a 1% success rate is cheaper than a profesional NATo training soldier, and maybe also cheaper than a profesional Russian Infantryman.

And that is only if they target a regular as dude and don't do something a lot more useful like artillery spotting, directing assaults, blowing up logistics trucks or pulling the airport surprise strafing.

>Active measures
You don't even need that. Drones can be stopped with simple passive measures. A simple signal jammer hard-counters drones as an example.

You only see videos of successful drone hits because the videos of unsuccessful drones are never released.
