Drones of Ukrainian Security Service attacked Arzamas plant (the distance is about 800 km from Ukraine) recently. The plant produces components for X-32 (mostly carried by Tu-22M3 aircraft) and X-101 (mostly carried by Tu-160 and Tu-95 aircraft) cruise missiles, among other things.

The successful attacks on the Russian military production industry have become a routine now, decreasing Russia's capability for missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.

Obviously, even several drone hits won't destroy a large military plant. However, if we take the X-101 missiles, they are full of components of the Western origin, some of them dual-use (despite Russia claiming it was made exclusively from Russian components).

The Russian military industry has its vulnerabilities, and consistent attacks on plants bring results as Russia remains dependent on imports of certain components. So even a single hit can make a big difference.

Successful attacks deep inside Russia are also a political argument for Ukraine and Ukrainian Allies.
