The truth Christians and Jews don’t want you to know!
There is more than one god in the Bible. The early Hebrews were polytheistic. The Old Testament explicitly affirms the existence of other gods - a “divine council” of gods, which is presided over by the creator god El. The Christian and Jewish god, Yahweh, was originally a patron deity only for the Jewish people - it was recognised that other nations had their own, just as real, gods.
This began to change after the Babylonian exile. The Jews could not explain how their deity, Yahweh, could have been defeated by the Babylonian god Marduk. So, to avoid admitting the inferiority of their own god, they merged the concepts of their patron god, Yahweh, with the creator god El into a single all powerful deity, and held that they alone were favoured by this deity, and that any misfortune they suffered was all part of this deity’s grand plan. This is the origin of Jewish supremacy.
When Christians call pagans LARPers, they should remember that they too in fact are pagans - only the pagan hold they worship is a Semitic one instead of a European one.
