Should I buy an RV?
Both the left and right admit the housing situation is fucked and I'm fine with minimalist living.
Last landlord I had was some tweaker chink, one day he was really zonked up on his pills and having a episode yelling in his pigeon chatter language whole I , I almost hoped he tried to start something because I really wanted to elbow the chubby little gook in his receding jaw and gouge out his little brown slant eyes.

Yes op, you deserve a camper van,
All the cool kids have one, you should paint it with funky colours to express yourself, it'll be a live in monument to the world, screaming I'm here and I'm a little weird but with good vibes put out by the colours on the van.
So what colours you picking, pink is really you anon

Living in an RV is immoral. Boomers need your $3500/month rent on a 1 bed app. You even know how much their cruises cost these days? Don't forget to tip your landlord too.

If you buy an RV you'll:
>Have nowhere to park
>Get towed by the city
>Get arrested in some states for sleeping in your vehicle, Kentucky recently passed a law making it a crime
>Have to pay $xxxxx per year in property tax, license, registration, insurance, smog or inspections
>Pay an insane amount for gasoline and/or propane

Also understand that RVs, trailers, and campers are designed for a limited amount of moves, since driving shakes the entire thing apart.
They also have shit insulation requiring increase cost for heating or cooling

Where will you get water, or dump waste?

Yeah they are good. If you have a truck get a small travel trailer and lock it up good since they are the most stolen.

Make aure you open up behind the cabinets to use metal tape to seal all the big ass holes the crew put in the exterior walls that you can't see.

In extreme summer heat put 2 90% shade cloths over it and secure them with mechanics wire.

>t. In Arizona, 20' RV, no shade from trees, 104f outside, 80f inside

You can also go vanlife which I highly recommend. Make sure it's a high top and stealth camp.

Less is more. I regret moving from a van to a RV. Simpler life is less stress. Also get the renogy 50A DC to DC charger. Let's you alternator charge and solar charge your house batteries at the same time. Dint bother with lead acid for house batteries anymore. Litium is better in every way.

Streets are public property. Technically cops can't kick you off the street unless you are violating a specific law like no parking 3am-6am.

Stealth camping is also pretty easy when you get used to it, like industrial areas or side roads.

It's a myth street camping is unsafe just be smart. Bums want an easy van to rob, and if someone is inside they go elsewhere.

I ocne has a guy hop on the step of mine at 10pm go see if there was stuff on top tos steal. Yelled HEY GET OFF and they ran lmao

The idea is appealing, but there are lots of things that could (eventually will) go wrong with the vehicle. Although, given the maintenance will likely cost less than rent you'd pay, and you can find somewhere to park it without being hassled, I'd say go for it.

If I were to live in a camper I'd have it be a trailer so that if I needed my vehicle fixed I wouldn't have my home in the shop too. When I backpacked across the US I saw a guy in a campground with a toyota pickup, small trailer, and a motorcycle in the bed of the truck. That looked like an ideal setup to me.

OP, get a travel trailer, a bumper pull, and find an RV park/campground with 30/50A service, water, and sewage at each lot. In Texas, D/FW area, going rate is $750/mo with everything included. There are nicer campgrounds with vehicle age limit restrictions, but even the lower end campgrounds usually relegate their least civilized citizens/drug addicts into one corner of the park, while workers/old folks have their own corners, and usually there’s a section reserved for day-week rentals as well. While it’s not ideal, you still own all four walls and the roof over your head, and you can move anytime, with only the assistance of a rental U-Haul F-150.

Yes but I'd rather have a tow along so you can leave it behind. I've seen too many people with RVs who use them as a daily driver end up fucking them up. When you fuck up your RV you're not only fucking up your vehicle but also your home. I don't mean car crashes but scraping the roof on tree limbs and shit and the last thing you want is a fucking water leak in an RV. It's a nightmare.

RV living is shit unless you live somewhere with decent weather. RV's have like no insulation. Also you'll be shocked how much you take electricity and flowing water for granted when you have to ration it. Honestly, being roommates in a one bedroom apartment leased by shekelberg is slightly better than RV living, assuming your roommate is respectful of your stuff.

Meh, you can get good thermals in a van if you build it out yourself. Really the hardest part is the plumbing, but if you're willing to use a dry toilet and a camp shower it's not a bad setup. Also with a full solar layout you can get an ac/heat to function just fine.
