Why do newborn babies need a vaccine for a sexually transmitted disease (Hepatitis B)?
Because when the vaccine was developed for degenerate adults, they couldn't get them to take it, so they decided they had to bribe government officials to put it on the immunization schedule for children. Otherwise, a lot of money spent on development would have been for nothing.
(btw, all mothers are tested for Hepatitis B before birth, so the potential of transmitting it to their babies does not exist)
