Leaving campus via campus drive to the 15 takes roughly 6 minutes by car around 15 minutes by foot.
The earliest available flight he could have caught would be after 1 pm, SLC has an average TSA waiting of 30 minutes between 1-2 pm.

DL1492 left at approximately 2 pm and arrived in Saint Louis at 17:24
DL3882 left for OKC at 14:35 arrived at 17:29

Those are the most likely flights he probably departed on due to commute time on the 15 which would average 43-55 minutes.
