This is a good surface distinction for a quick superficial division between the major seemingly opposing kinds of Jews who are the most politically/socially/economically relevant to the West, and by extension the whole globe, but it gets murkier when you look deeper into it.

Namely, quite a few of these Jews who own the big global corporations and the like still end up having ties to the right-wing Zionist project in some way, support it or help fund it or lobby for anti-BDS laws and the like. Even while they may be pushing, through their corporate values, Kumbaya-style progressive secular liberalism extolling the merits of DEI, multiculturalism, etc. Basiclaly, they may seem entirely like the leftist secular atheist type, but still end up supporting Zionism when you look deeper.

The U.S.-Israel nexus, and their/our joint meddling and plots and plans in the Middle East, also has the dubious distinction of leading to a significant amount of the Middle Eastern Muslim world despising or furious at the U.S. (“the Great Satan” as the Ayatollah called it), and helping contribute to the creation and spread of such “terrorism”, and “radical Islamism” that they then fight against, sacrificing their own civilians and countless other civilians in targeted countries.
