If Japan had become communist, they probably never would've been able to evolve their electronics manufacturing industry and take over all our industries in the 70s and 80s. The gooks and chinks never would've gotten the idea from Japan to start doing it either so there's a good chance we would still be the dominant manufacturing power in the world today, while Japan, Korea, and China are still all poor agrarian societies.
