Old 2000s tech and getting ready to stop using the internet altogether.
The web is done for. In a few years it will be unusable (it is already if you ask me) or even gone. I am archiving all kinds of shit. Data. Knowledge. Pre 2012 Entertainment. Blablabla. Actually gonna start burning the most important crap to hundreds of DVDs.
I am also TRYING to go back to a tech lvl of around 2010 or at least alternatives. I am looking into getting a linux cyberdeck or something similar to replace the shartphone. I'd be thankful if anyone could shill me some devices that might do the trick.

You can still not use a router and have ethernet jacks installed throughout the home, directly from the box (we have "NBN")
This costs money but they can't map your home without wireless.
Prime your walls with EMF shielding paint and use a landline phone to truly gain back your right to privacy.

it has a 13" screen with the body of a 12.5" laptop, is light enough and has good battery. the only problem with it is the rubber feet comes off eventually but i just super-glued it back

Considering various events that could cause one to go off-grid suddenly and not have internet access, in a sense you should be preparing tools and electronics for such a scenario. Mass power outages? You could power both useful and entertainment-oriented devices via the elements, but the internet will almost certainly be accessible.

Fuck. Yeah, was looking as you wrote now. Shit is grim. Fucking electric cars have it also, and use it to determine your status and make you stop and rest etc. Grim!

But, a Nokia 3210 4G from 2024 won't have the hardware. I am actually switching to that now. Ordered the simcard yesterday, and phone is charging waiting.

Have hardware bankID, as to not use an app.
Have a physical card for bus/metro

But, it sure as hell seems impossible to escape eventually.

I thought I was kinda spared from it with a Graphene OS device, but seems that also will be, or are compromised.

somewhat similar with hard disk: as long as they survive a few days, they will probably survive indefinitely
that being said >>519598251 if you take care of hard disks they are the best option... while all sticks and tapes and stuff would get erased by a nuke (or an EMP), hard drives have their cute lil piles of magnetized metals close together to survive that abuse, even if their electronics get burned out

Done and never make more changes.
When i need to check for a video game or something, its easy to boot.
If you have an abundance of cash, i say every 5 years doing a vault transfer to new HDDs. So that the content inside remains curated for it to last.

I did have an idea of uploading stuff to the internet archive website but the servers are too junky to process large quantities, it is a shame.

this is retarded people always say they will replace their smart phone and then do retarded shit like this you either want a internet connected device or you dont. just stick to a smartphone there is no issue with them i carry one all the time and only use the web browser and a 4chan app sometimes. phones are the peak of handheld computing. theres no point in making yyour liffe harder when you will not benefit if your problem is spending too much time on it just dont kek. if you want some tech that is better get a mp3 player

Installing internet in the house as we speak. Has to have. A router, apparently I can turn the wi-fi off, but 2 questions…

1) if i have a smartphone, isnt it doing the same thing as far as mapping and utilizing signal to create a picture of the house as wifi?

2) if i put the router in a literal microwave and run the ethernet cables through the microwave to my devices (computer, tv, playstation), will the microwave function as a faraday for signal blocking for the antennaes on the router?

And again, if I have a smartphone (which im trying to get away from), does it even matter? Fwiw ive been contemplating and feeling more and more pressure to just go analog all the way, but im not there yet.

I think I want to go deep dive on frequency. Ive dabbled and been exposed to so much over the last 20 years (xillenial here). I want to understand frequency at the engineer level.

Ive long understood out brains are biochemical oscillators. I want to apply that, defensively. No doubt in my mind the proliferation of technology to exploit this is the communication tech we are discussing.

Distinguishing between whether my cell phone microwaves my brain or just engages with my mind is a burning questions. Can anyone point me to the beginning of this rabbit hole?

Checked. I recommend beginning with the philosophy of mind. The universe is mental, so what mind over matter means is that you are teleported here from our original dimension, controlling our avatars from a permanent dream state. It's better to focus on improving your mind. Of course, there are kinetic dangers, but the mind trumps the body and brain.

This moron doesn't understand how delicate history and reality are. History is what authority records it to be and what people believe it to be, and reality is maintained by human consciousness.

We've fucking lived through jews lying about real time events for decades. Something will happen, then they will record a lie as "history" that constitutes reality to the masses, thus altering the perception of reality with media. We've also seen how they sre able to simply delete all records of wrongdoing and claim that never happened. We must ALL be archiving their deeds, anyone opposing or in any way stigmatizing this is to be considered a jew.

The internet may still be here, but like todays internet much good has been erased and replace with sick jewish perversions if reality and it's former self.

Ok I'm on board, gonna get an ARK thing, have AI sort and organize my music and movies and start downloading and archiving shows, books, movies, etc.. what sites do I need? Just start torrenting shit? I plan on a media server for the whole house with a closed non cloud based security system.

It's mostly to organize and rename the 10s of thousands of mp3s i have collected. I need a lot more too but going to have AI come up with a naming convention and go through and rename them all in a similar style. Is that wrong? A better way or program to do this? Its been on my list for a long time and im just getting started help me out

If you can code just make a script to rename everything exactly the way you want it to.
People rely on AI for everything and we're still at the beginning of this shit

you know, if you aren't burning CD's or making long term emf protected backups, you can just buy a printer and print your own books.

M DISC is the best standard for long term backups. A guy tested 1 outside for a whole year and it was still readable after.

For EMF protection just throw it in a metal ammo can.

>Original M-Discs were made by Millenniata and had a unique manufacturing process, but after Millenniata's bankruptcy, the technology was licensed to other companies. Some newer discs sold under the M-Disc brand, particularly by Verbatim, may not use the same original M-Disc manufacturing process, raising concerns about their long-term durability compared to the original product.
