Voting is an ineffectual carrot that certain political systems toss out to the general public that make them believe they have a say in national and global affairs.
In reality, every person and policy option you are allowed to vote on is narrowly bracketed and predetermined by people who finance campaigns of individual politicians.
Nobody in Snow Mexico voted for tens of thousands of Chinese to immigrate freely and unchecked. They didn't do so for Indians either.
Nobody wants this outcome, nor do they want people in office who support it.
If voting was effective in the way you believe it does, none of that would ever have happened. Not even for a second.
Just be quiet and learn to notice patterns when they aren't explicitly stated, man.
