I'm not a political partisan. And I don't consider SNAP to be a partisan program. It is basically a subsidy to farmers and food processors via the USDA. Here in my state of Oklahoma, they finally passed a law that goes into effect next year that makes soda and candy no longer purchasable with food stamps. Which is LOOONG overdue. In fact, I would go much further to the point of limiting it to more-or-less a commodity program of healthy food.
I don't think you dumb niggers understand how capitalism works, or really how Keynesian works. Getting rid of food stamps entirely would be a net drain on the economy. Which is why the lobbyists pushing for food stamps aren't churches. They're people like Walmart, Coca-Cola, and other corporate beneficiaries.

>SNAP is for an emergency, not so you can have extra money to throw around. There are plenty of charities they can visit
No, retard. SNAP is a subsidy and economic stimulus. Pretty much anyone who works full-time on minimum-wage qualifies.

The formula goes something like... Net Income(minus 20% of earned income) minus standard deduction minus qualified deduction(housing, healthcare expenses, childcare, etc). You're expected to pay 30% of this adjusted net income on food. If 30% of your adjusted net income is less than the monthly allotment(like ~$290 for one person, and more like $200 per additional), then the government will give you the difference. The vast majority of people on SNAP don't get anywhere close to the full amount.
My friend is on SSI and he only gets like $30 from SNAP. Sometimes he doesn't even bother applying because you have to do it every 6 months and he barely finds it worth it.
