We've been in a recession since we fucked the economy with those stupid COVID lockdowns, we've just been in denial playing games with the numbers to pretend it isn't happening.

>companies aren't firing
Nigger tier, turbo Soviet Union level nonsense. Every single Fortune 100 company is in a perpetual "rolling layoffs" mode and has been since 2023 (at the latest.) This is on top of these other realities
>hyper DEI (Don't Employ whItes)
>unlimited jeets
>indefinite external partner contractors who nontheless are W2 (lacking any shread of worker protection while getting ass fucked by taxes)

These headlines are written for the 55+ crowd who live off of investment income and are totally detached from reality. I realized that I can make as much money trading options as I did being a "highly compensated" "employee" in a multinational. I hope every single one of the C level and Board members lose everything and have to sleep in the gutter.

All the growth has basically been coming from speculation into AI stocks and the assholes who have been speculating on the housing market. Everything else has had modest gains. I don't have a bunch of AI investments so I've had pretty modest gains in my portfolio the past few years. Our economy is still in considerably better shape than Europe's or Canada's for that matter; but I do think there's a tech bubble and a housing market bubble. I hope the housing market bubble bursts first, these ridiculous property prices aren't helping anyone except for speculating twats. A property market crash would be the best way to manage the overvaluation of the economy since it would lower rent and home prices which would drive economic activity in other sectors.

orange kike has been demanding a hotter economy, powell is being replaced soon, inflation is 50% above the target and markets are operating off last month's data, government shutdown will ensure up-to-date inflation data will not be released for a long time. interest rates are still being cut in spite of this.

they're going to be artificially pumping the economy full of more easy money and inflating away any recession concerns. it doesn't matter if your money is losing value and you can't afford groceries, the economy NEEDS to grow and it needs to grow FASTER by any means necessary.

The wage disparity to housing cost is like 10% worse than the Great Depression.

Ive given up hope that any sort of genuine market movement reflecting reality will happen in my lifetime. The people running the economy will just keep coming up with bullshit to keep the line going up while our collective quality of life slowly falls.

that's true of all politics, nothing matters until minecraft shit starts happening so i stopped keeping up with it. it doesn't matter, these retards can do whatever they want and the sheep will whine but not lift a finger to do anything about it.
