1. Public companies are only interested in increasing revenue. The second it becomes about money, it stays about money.

2. Companies have a lot of power in the Government through lobbying, bribery, blackmail, and most importantly FAVORS

These two facts should be the center of everything you think about when it comes to the US and all social policy.

What this leads to is a decrease in quality of everything to pad profit margins. It's a multi-step process from each end.
- Decrease quality of materials. Particle board furniture, high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar, artificial flavoring/coloring.
- Decrease the cost of labor. Outsource what you can, import what you can't at 50-75% US-expected salary.
- Flood the country with immigrants (legal or otherwise) and support taxpayer funded benefits for them so more money flows into your coffers.

There's more but not as important right now, like how they also lobby for less regulations for them, but more for their competitors, or for more in an industry that, where if it were to decline, would benefit them.

So what do you do? Completely halt immigration and then reform the process. Repeal the hart-celler and figure out how to send people home. On benefits? Not anymore. Set rules and exclusions from rule changes. We fucked up with these, but some people built their entire lives around benefits and while they DO NOT DESERVE them, it would fuck everything up for a long while if they are not continued. Yes, shaniqua with 10 kids would cause all kinds of problems. "You are no longer eligible for SNAP if you did not apply before January 2027" type of rules are what is needed.

Immediately reject all H1B renewals and send them home. All of them. Also invalidate bachelors earned from other countries. A CS degree from India takes 2 years, but 4 years in the US. It's not fair.

I worked at Walmart and knew older people that had kids and worked at Walmart. The only problem here is people not being able to accept the fact that theyre poor.
