I also noticed a few days ago driving down the street several of the local churches had lines like a mile long with people I think they were getting food. Its like a modern day bread line. Its literally worse than the 1930s.

Well the US is at a 25-30% unemployment rate when looking at general benefit dispensation (unemployment ends after 6 months, you know the trick) and everyone making under like $40-60k/yr (depending on the state) is also getting EBT if they have kids.

Then consider that if you ever have a good month on SNAP, let's say your aunt dies and you get 7 grand from inheritance.
If you accept that inheritance you're immediately kicked off of SNAP and ineligible to get back on it for 6+ months (can vary based on State).
As a result anyone who ends up on SNAP either needs to make it big or not try at all, because as soon as you're over 12k income (or 40k if you're a family of four), you're out of benefits, and effectively hurting yourself, even if you're only 500 bucks over.
