Something never sat right with me about this film being dedicated to the vets of DDay and the European theater, but it also has slapsticky moments and tangents that make no sense in the grander scheme of the narrative. Im sure if left unattended long enough, Spielberg would have shoehorned in the liberation of the concentration camp scene from Band Of Brothers into this film as well.

This is one of those movies that is so hard to articulate to older people as "propagandized" because of the subject and it's insanely annoying. Same with Full Metal Jacket.

I was reading on /x/ awhile back that the d-day opening scene was a bunch of homeless drugged addicts that they rounded up from eastern Europe and that they did actually kill them with real bullets. Also the hanx serial killer, pedo angle, he's obsessed with war movies and worked on The Pacific as well.

There's an article written by some German vets about this movie and how bullshit it is and that's what originally redpilled me. They wrote about Schindler's List too. Called in Swindler's Mist too lol. Back in like 2010. I hope the article is still out there.

One I remember from this movie is they have the kike crying when he finds the Hitler youth knife or something. No one cared about the non existent camps at that point faggots. And the guard in Schindler was executed by the Germans themselves. And I doubt he even did anything close to what the film lied about.

Checked. Full Metal Jacket is also very weird but I think the tone is very different. I may be giving it too much credit but it has a more anti war feel to it than SPR. The latter glorifies the carnage while FML keeps calling it all Mickey Mouse shit. Most of the comedy is in the dialogue as a way of the soldiers dealing with the hell they were in. I don't remember any slapstick like in SPR as you mention. The combat scenes in FML are rather dark and odd. They aren't even real battles just sporadic street fighting, ambushes, and fuck ups. It feels like a weird dream after watching it.
