Bro I get what you’re saying but Porkroast has been getting encircled for months, they had plenty of time to pull out, retreat, and regroup, if fucking wartubers are warning about an encirclement for months, “elite NATO trained 4d chess Ukrainian commanders” should be able to avoid what was obviously coming. The Ukranian high command has made costly blunder after blunder, Bakhmut, the failed counter oinkfensive, fucking KURSK. It’s been the same tactic for a year now, the Russians find an opening, try to circle Ukrainian defenses, and instead of pulling back and doing a layered offense, Ukrainian high command waits until they are fully encircled and then rushes more units into the meat grinder to try to save them. Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Maruipol, at some point either high command is incompetent or NATO is intentionally advising them to cram guys into the woodcutter to kill as many Russians as possible regardless of the consequences. Historically, Russia has always struggled at the beginnings of conflict, but then finds a groove and how Russia is fighting is straight from the Soviet playbook with some more modern toys. They use FAB bombs from the air and fuck up Ukrainian defenses, send recon guys in as feelers, then comes artillery, tanks, and drones. Find the next position, and do the exact same thing. Russia has also been doing some very rude tactics like using their mine laying artillery to lay mines all over Ukrainian positions to keep them in place for the FAB bombs. The war has devolved into the exact tactics Russia EXCELS at. Ukrainians beg for aid, first it was the leopards, then F-16 and Gripens, then patriots and Tomahawks, but it all comes too little too late. This war is the definition of a combined arms war and you need all of your pieces working simultaneously, and Ukraine is clearly struggling with that. They will unironically call an area secured when it’s a handful of guys sitting in a trench just waiting to be shelled.
