Most Christian’s are Christian because they were born into the church. They were told that all the mysteries of the universe were contained in their sacred texts. Atheists however come from one of two camps. Either they left the church or they were never in it to begin with. Those that left the church most often do so because they found that what the church taught them didn’t seem believable. That requires a level of critical thinking. When it comes to atheists who were never in the church, their critical thinking comes from attempting to construct a worldview that makes logical sense. It’s not that Christians are “dumber”. They just haven’t trained the part of their brain that’s used for critical thinking. The people that ask the most questions accumulate the most answers.
